Company is full of promise, but low on realization. Significant dissatisfaction leads to heavy employee turnover, in all areas, for good reason.
Team Leader (Former Employee) – Hamburg, NY – April 23, 2018
The bank frequently encounters significant staff turnover in some key areas, including the area of which I was a member. Significant being 100% turnover of the department about every 2 years. That alone illustrates the conditions at the company.
Overall, Evans seems to be unable to identify and retain strong leadership, or employees, which seems to impact the rest of the infrastructure. The bank has a real problem attracting (or retaining) experienced bankers, primarily because people with experience know what a disaster the bank is.
The frequent turnover, including upper management, leads to constant re-organization/restructure. Company is always chasing its tail.
Overall, a below average workplace. I would not recommend working there. The bank will overpromise, and underdeliver, everytime. Don't be fooled.
Smaller institution, so layering is limited.
