Department Head (Current Employee) –  Evansville, INJune 11, 2018
EVPL is not a healthy or positive place to work. Management is very disconnected from the majority of the employees. They don't care about employees as people, unless they are in administration and part of the favored group. Patrons are viewed very negatively and as the "lower class". Hiring & advancement are not based on merit but on favoritism, even to the point of shielding problem employees (think "Me Too") until legally pushed to finally do something. Morale is not great, as you can imagine.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Evansville, INJuly 14, 2017
It is usually fast paced with a lot of us bustling around each other all day but it slows down quite a bit on weekends. The pay is fair and coworkers are pretty great.
