If you're interested in working with old and new technology, this is where it happens
Video Technician (Current Employee) – Newton, MA – February 9, 2018
The work done day-to-day is mostly the same, but clients often have varying materials, requests, and changes in their orders, making for new challenges. It definitely encourages communicating with co-workers and analyzing technology to get the best transfers to our clients, efficiently. The work environment is very clean and quiet, so distractions are rare, but not everyone says "hello" to or even interacts with each other. The most difficult part, for me, is the occasional monkey wrench to the work flow--a new job with more material due sooner than the ones you're working on will pop up, someone else might do work on your station, so often things aren't the way you left them, or some client material is simply impossible to work with for a variety of reasons. Ultimately though, it's worthwhile getting to work with old and new hardware, and making so many meaningful moments in time viewable again.
Cozy work environment, easy getting in and out, very unique business
Starts small, you may have to deal with city traffic, not for the technologically inept

If you're looking for benefits and streamlined management and expectations this is not the place for you. Long hours, high expectations, low pay, lots of stress, and hardly any benefits makes working here a nightmare.
