DC6 Flight Engineer (Current Employee) –  Anchorage, AKJuly 13, 2018
First off you are home pretty much every evening which is not common in the airline industry. They offer matching funds on 401K, medical and dental. Wen working and depending on the season work hours can be unpredictable and can change from day to day. The company is a growing airline and the owner is making subtle adjustments and pay increases to offset any work life imbalances. Owner is very approachable as well!

AUDITOR (Former Employee) –  Anchorage, AKApril 30, 2018
This was a job I enjoyed coming to, a company that was built from the ground up by a determined family, and I worked with a team that not only worked hard, but knew what they were doing and were always willing to help you do better!

Warehouse Customer Service Lead (Former Employee) –  Anchorage, AKFebruary 21, 2018
Everts air cargo is great place to work, it is family orientated and you really become family with everyone you work with. Everts air cargo is diverse and has a ton of departments that fit your needs. Management cares about their employees. The leads teach and train their employees and work along with them. The weather is probably the hardest part of the job. You can't beat donut Friday and the bbq days.
Pros
You will always have work.
Cons
The weather but you can't control that.

Assistant Quality Manager (Current Employee) –  Fairbanks, AKJanuary 2, 2018
A diverse on demand schedule environment with a good broad view at the aviation industry from a smaller company perspective. Great management, and very safety inclined. Room to improve in the amount paid to their employees to maintain a stable staff of individuals.

Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Anchorage, AKOctober 7, 2017
Very competitive industry. Fast paced due to the many changes that effect business daily, like weather and maintenance issues. Company has a high turnover rate due to low pay for the industry. This means dealing with constant mistakes which requires extra time maintaining customer accounts.
Pros
Exciting industry
Cons
Constant changes

Could be a good company, but....
Aircraft Dispatcher/Flight Follower (Former Employee) –  Fairbanks, AKOctober 7, 2017
Management in different locations argued continually amongst themselves, which effected all operations. DO was an arrogant...well, jerk, who communicated in yelling, cussing, and insults (i.e. talking about mechanics, he said they were nothing more than "monkeys with wrenches.")

Work atmosphere was very boy's locker room. Inappropriate jokes and comments that would have gotten people fired anywhere else were the norm.

Favoritism and nepotism run amok in this company. Advancement is reserved for family and friends. Everyone else is replaceable. Pilots were cowboys who don't like to play by the rules. If you like getting yelled at and talked down to, this is an excellent place to seek employment.
Pros
Experience
Cons
Just about everything else

Diesel Technician (Former Employee) –  Fairbanks, AKOctober 4, 2017
This Place was not kind, The personnel that handled the fuel had bitter attitudes. Very demanding group and not in a good way. There was that one individual that knew it all. He would interrupt what you were doing, get between you and the job, take over what you were doing and once it was taken apart he would leave the area leaving you there to reassemble the mess he left behind. The Mechanic area was a great place to work in. Unfortunately that was not my area to work in.
Pros
Free friday dougnuts
Cons
That bitter group in the fuel section to work for

Manager Review
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Anchorage, AKSeptember 20, 2017
The previous customer service manager is way better then the customer service manager they hire. She don't do much just sitting in her office and send her bulletin for customer service agent. They hire a customer service lead which she play the roll of the manager in any situation. Customer manager is not helping creating a great customer team I accept her to be in a very helpful person when customer service is really busy but it not happening.

Productive fast paced work place
Safely guide the planes arrival and departure (Former Employee) –  Anchorage, AKDecember 20, 2016
A typical day at work with Everets Air Cargo would be moving freight back and forth in a face paced environment. Some important things I have learned while working for this company is that teamwork is very important when trying to get the job done. Management in this company I would say are very responsible, and motivating when is come down to physically working. When I work with co-workers I learn to strengthen my social skills and the ability to communicate in a team. The hardest part for me when working with this company was working long restless hours lifting weights and moving loads consistantly. Although that might have been the roughest time on the job, what i enjoyed the most about work, was being able to pick up my paycheck and call it day.
