It is a good side hustle for an EMT.
On-site EMT (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - January 18, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGetting a job was fairly simple. It is low stress overall. The treatment is better for healthcare workers. Work hours are inconsistent so it is difficult to make this a full time job. COVID has opened up a lot of opportunities for EMTs.

Phlebotomist Technician (Former Employee) - Hays County, TX - July 9, 2023
They don’t want to help those who have been employed by a different company. Learned blood pressure cuff venipuncture. Instead of tourniquet method it is different I didn’t like it.
Pros
Good money
Cons
Bad teachers no teachers

Was not a good workplace for me
Temporary Employee (Former Employee) - North side, Tomball, Tx - January 19, 2023
I was not given the full details on the job duties before accepting the job at this company. In addition, one of the job requirements were for the individual to have 1.5 years experience doing cashiering, window teller or banking in which I had no experience in this area. I am very disappointed that I was sent somewhere and made to look like a fool. Now I am out of work and Open Works formerly known as Evins Group doesn't seem to be concern about it. I have not been contacted by anyone there to try and place me somewhere else as soon as possible.
Pros
I do not have anything good to say about this company at this time.
Cons
Appear to have no concern about the people that are signed up with their agency.

Clueless
Human Resources Assistant (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - September 6, 2022
Get benefits in writing in offer letter! They will promise benefits then say because of “rebranding” due to their horrible reputation in Austin and Round Rock, you won’t have those benefits. Cliquey office! Staffing for both offices green and not right to be in staffing. New owners never around.
Pros
Free snacks. Free Friday breakfast burritos
Cons
Lies on all levels. No training. Just horrible.

Good Company
Registration Clerk (Former Employee) - Galveston, TX - July 9, 2022
I only worked for them once, but I enjoyed the job that I did and the people I worked with. I wish that I had lived in Houston so that I could have taken advantage of more of the employment opportunities that were available to me.
Pros
Very nice
Cons
I didn't live in Houston

Evins Group insights
What people like
- Ability to learn new things
- Time and location flexibility
- Inclusive work environment
Great place for occasional contracts!
They have a large number of contracts in the Austin area, and they pay very well. The contracts are often single-job or short term so I wouldn't rely on them for a living, but they definitely are a great source of supplemental income!
Pros
Pay, Flexibility
Cons
No consistent contracts

You will be belittled, criticized, and no respect within the company
Recruiter (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - June 9, 2022
I'm looking for advance and recruiting this is not the place for you, some of the management don't know how to run a business. This company does not have any culture, morals, or ethics. They have no structure to promote positive knowledge, team engagement, or motivation for you to want to thrive. It's really challenging to work from management who speak but yet nothing they speak can be verified, and never follow through with what they say they're going to do. This will be one of the most unprofessional, backstabbing, experiences you will ever have if you work here. The environment is very toxic and they don't even look at your skill set to determine where you really fit in this company.

High Turnover, employees are under paid, over worked. Company is very unethical, and does not apply to government laws.
Staffing Recruiter (Former Employee) - Texas - April 26, 2022
Very disappointed with the company. Started off bad but still tried to give it a chance. Went from bad to worse. Company cannot keep employees. Bad sign

CNA (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - November 23, 2021
Pay is weekly. Payroll is proficient and accurate. Offers lots of well paying opportunities. Office staff have professional and friendly attitudes. Well organized company. Staff are always easy to get in touch with even after hours. You can decline a position without any back lash.
Pros
Lunch and dinners are provided usually

Promised one thing; Given Another
Temporary Worker (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - October 31, 2021
I started with Evins and was told they would find me something in administration. I started out in fulfillment and was told I would be there two weeks until I was transferred to a job in my field. That did not happen. I was working a job I was overqualified for and learning nothing for my field or investing in my career. When the temp position ended, all I’ve been offered is a similar position. Needless to say I am disappointed.
Pros
Flexible schedule, flexible calling out, will offer work
Cons
No good opportunities, looking to fill positions, employee needs not prioritized

Productive and fun place to work
Staffing Coordinator (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - October 6, 2021
I personally was devastated when I had to leave Evins but my health was doing poorly. I miss everyone there and wish one day I could return. The President and upper management are all very kind and concerned about every employee there.
Pros
Understanding of personal needs, family feeling
Cons
None

We love you, until we dont.
Emergency Medical Technician - Nurse (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - May 31, 2021
This company does not care about you if you are a contract employee. During the pandemic, they couldn't get enough people to work, now that the pandemic is winding down, they could care less about you. Their contracts with the city are coming to a close and they do not need us anymore so we are all left out in the cold without even a phone call to let us know we will no longer be scheduled to work. So many of us had to call only to be rudely told, "Nope, you're not on the schedule." We are being asked to sit tight, things are coming. That isn't helping when we have bills to pay now. Evins Personnel DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CONTRACT WORKERS!!!! Why should they, they already have full time, permanent jobs.
Pros
Pay, APH Staff.
Cons
Everything else

Had an issue with manager on assignment. Had me waiting for an hour in morning even though she knew day before. Informed Evian temp and said I still needed to be were I was not wanted. The Dr. I worked with es damaging but his manager in charge did not like me and her work ethics got the better needs improving. Needless to say Evian didn’t back me up.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Doesn’t have employees back on circumstances in this scenario.

Horrible consultant agency .... HORRIBLE.
Assmbly (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - October 6, 2020
If you are going to make a person wait a full hour for an interview you could have did over the phone. Its covid10 and rather risk inviting people into the office as if they ARE getting a job there . Also, i don’t think i ask no one what their opinions were on what i should work , you and your body burning out is not me!!!!! do not go here they aren’t the best !

Floating Phlebotomist (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - May 12, 2020
I have really enjoyed working for Evins Personnel, INC. as a floating phlebotomist. They are very professional and I was very surprised with how fast and eager they were to help me find a job. The interviewing process with on-site and drug screening done asap. I will continue to use Evins when I am not in a full-time position.
