If you yourself have a personally flexible schedule, it may be frequently changed to accommodate others and create more of a perception that schedule flexibility exists. You may either have your schedule changed frequently or be denied schedule changes unless it's absolutely necessary. Every employee is needed, essentially, so it can be difficult at times to get shifts covered or switched, especially on short notice. That part depends on the availability and kindness of your co-workers.

Yes and no. This is an intensive therapy setting, so generally you need to be there when the kids are. But with a little notice, there is room to get groups covered, leave early, or come late if circumstances necessitate.
