Nice company
Engineer (Former Employee) –  ColumbusMay 2, 2017
EWI is a good place to work. People are nice, work is challenging but rewarding. They are very open and honest regarding decisions that are made about how the company is run. Only downside is due to how the projects are funded. Without outside clients providing the funding, when the money dries up cuts have to be made.

Mixed Bag
Technician (Current Employee) –  Columbus, OHOctober 7, 2012
The company is great about helping employees with work life balance, but there seems to be no job security. There's been about a 15% turnover of employees in the last year, including several layoffs.

Employees are tasked with research projects and evaluated on their individual results on those projects, which seems like the correct way to evaluate employees, but it leads to tall silos between people on different projects. There doesn't seem to be any sense of a push in a common direction of doing what's right for everyone.
Pros
flexible schedule
Cons
no bonus or raise this year, lack of common direction, no job security
