Our Paid-Time Off has recently been simplified to encompass any type of time needed away from the office. So sick, personal or vacation days are used from the same bank of time.
Depending on your level of position, you may have a higher amount of days and accrue PTO at a faster rate too.

It's all in one PTO bank
Exeter only gives PTO because if they gave sick time, well then everyone would not show up except management...all The employees would be sick in the head from the sick head games management plays.
PTO you accrue time through out the yr

They don't offer sick time. If you needed to call out because you are not feeling good then you would receive an occurrence and the time would deduct from your PTO bank and if you didn't have any PTO then you just wouldn't get paid for that day. You could get 6 occurrences before termination and each one would drop off in 6 months of the day you called out and if you called out 2 days in a row it would be considered 1 occurrence

The sick day policy at Exeter Finance Corp is basically is you have any available time it will use your paid time off. Also you will need to call in at a appropriate time before your shift. Exeter allows 24hrs of sick time per year.
