Annoying
Rescue Customer Service Agent (Current Employee) –  Lees Summit, MOJune 5, 2018
Not to be rude but do not work here. It’s so unorganized they do not care about their employees at all. You will work like a space and get nowhere. Favorites and cliques run and determines anything as far as advancement goes.

EXL is a starting point if you are unemployed. I do not see this being long term employment. I do wish to include any other comments about this employer.

Outsourcing focus with consulting opportunities
Senior Associate (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMay 21, 2018
As an Indian company with Indian leadership, the management structure is largely Indian, and many onsite personnel are relocated from overseas offices. Availability of compliance work was consistent, and continual initiative among consulting personnel is to promote Outsourcing use, which is EXL's primary function. Quality of engagements is so-so, and had included low-priority accommodations such as closets of very old (read: coated in makeup and other filth) computing resources, highly restricted access to printers and other basic tools, etc. High-quality engagements are challenging, but staff was thrown under the bus regularly by EXL onsite management, and critical upward project concerns were disregarded.
Pros
Consistent opportunities with finance/insurance clients
Cons
Little to no internal support, afterthought in terms of accommodations by clients

Call Center Representative (Current Employee) –  Kansas City, MOMay 17, 2018
Don’t waste your time applying! This is a very unprofessional job with rude management, trainers, floor walkers etc. Everyone with a higher position walk around like their better than everyone else and when corporate managers come they want you tow all around telling you so you act different!

VP, Analytics Methodologist (Former Employee) –  RemoteApril 26, 2018
Very poor management that is disorganized and terrible at communicating. EXL rented out its consultants to do any type of work regardless of the fit.

If you do not know what you are doing and need a job, work here, you will enjoy it.

If you know what you are doing - be ready to do your job and many other jobs. There is a lot of slack to pick up.

Sr. Payroll Analyst (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJFebruary 25, 2018
Work culture is not knowledgeable of Federal, State policies, everything and anything goes with this company, a good employee in their eye is the one that does not question their procedures and way of do things. I would love to see them being audit.
Pros
Management was very petty on lunch breaks
Cons
even if you did not take break, they want to put at least 1/2, and if you took more than 1 hour lunch they will make a fuss about it.

Wow....If I only knew
Roadside Rescue Agent (Current Employee) –  Kansas City, MODecember 17, 2017
Working here is definitely not what I expected. The work is easy and the hours are ok. But the environment is negative. Everyday it's a new drama filled day not from the customers but from the employee's. Management is paid the same amount the agent's are paid. They are based overseas and people are often shorted on hours and pay checks. The office is small they have no where to seat people as they come out of training. Training was a joke. This place won't be around very long which is why I am still actively seeking work while working here.
Pros
Easy work
Cons
1 break. Will dock your breaks by 1 hr and 25 mins if back late. And no bathroom breaks.

Poor Working Conditions
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Kansas City, MODecember 14, 2017
Poor working conditions, complete disorganization and poor leadership are the order of the day while working for this company. Large company that offers a lot but delivers little. Based overseas it has several large offices state side. Can be a good place to work if you enjoy high stress working conditions.
Pros
Full benefits for full time work
Cons
disorganization and poor working conditions

Staying positive.
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Kansas City, MONovember 1, 2017
I started with EXL in October. The company in general is huge, but the newly opened center in Kansas City is very unorganized. I was told in my interview that my hours would be from 8am- 3pm, with a guaranteed 30 hours a week. While in training, we were told the employees were guaranteed 24 hours a week. Now, out of training and on the floor, I work four hours a day.
The training was lacking because of constant system issues,no fault of trainer. However, the job itself is pretty easy once one is on the floor and have more of a "hands on " experience. The managers are pretty helpful on the floor as well.
Pros
Bonuses, from what we're told, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Cons
Poor communication, low hours
