Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt's a decent place to work at. Time flies due to constantly moving. The pay could be better than it is, especially for the work that is expected. Great benefits.

Poor training and communication
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Kenosha, WI - February 3, 2023
Company is poorly ran. Little to no training and communication was terrible. No raises or annual raises unless on a dock worker. It has good work life balance and majority of people are good employees which I enjoyed working with.
Pros
Work life balance
Cons
Bad pay, terrible training and communication

Tell you whatever to get you there
Over the Road Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Mississippi County, MO - February 2, 2020
Keep your eyes on them the whole time if you go. Watch your checks they will cheat u. Trucks are very slow so don't think you can make good miles with time to spare

Stay away
Dock Worker/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) - Kenosha, WI - January 22, 2020
Upper management does not care about workers at all, no raises, no bonuses, they only care about themselves. They will not try to help the employees, they hire Supervisors that have no knowledge of what they are doing or how to do it. They will not fix the Forklifts, half of them need tires or don't have working lights on them,

Good job
Driver (Current Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - August 10, 2019
It's a great job, just would like to be paid weekly not biweekly, it's the easiest job I've ever had, just drive and drop and hook, no messing with pickups or costumers, perfect

Terminal Manager
Terminal Manager (Current Employee) - USA - August 6, 2019
Great company to work for. Pay is fair. They care about their employees and want to see everyone succeed. Paid holidays. Benefits are fair BCBS. It is work and you will be required to work. That's why its called work.

Very good job for some, very bad job for some. Listen and read the duties for your job.
Driver (Current Employee) - Champaign, IL - August 6, 2019
This job is great for some people and horrible for others. Many good benefits to working here and some bad ones, Communication between terminals, managers and drivers is horrible.

Full Time Employee
Employee (Current Employee) - USA - August 5, 2019
EFS has a very friendly and positive work environment. The leadership team are always willing to stop and help when someone is in need of assistance. Everyone seems to enjoy coming to work everyday. The pay and benefits are competitive. EFS is an overall great place to work!

An okay place to work.
Driver (Current Employee) - South Bend, IN - August 5, 2019
You'll get plenty of hours. Good start time in the morning, you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. Newer trucks in pretty good shape to drive.

Stressful!!!
Support Staff (Former Employee) - Kenosha, WI - August 16, 2018
No clearly defined job roles/responsibilities when it comes to management (never know who to go to for an answer) which leads to a very stressful working environment.
Pros
Local
Cons
Most everything except the benefits

I've stuck around for years. Perfect it's not, but what job is.
Driver (Current Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - November 6, 2017
The pay is decent (in the 20s with quarterly bonuses), the equipment is pretty good too. The tractors are leased so they're changed out it seems about every 600k or so. The trailers are also mostly good.
The hours are long, but show me a trucking company that doesn't routinely work you 10-12 hours a day! At least I'm in my bed every day and on the weekends.
They're constantly hurting for drivers which is (IMHO) a mixture of the usual "never happy driver" (you know the ones) and just plain bad drivers. But the good news is, as long as I don't fall into one of those categories, I know I've got a job! Haha
Pros
Home every day
Cons
Hours, weekend work

I would not recommend this job to anyone! High driver turn around and pathetic benefits.
LTL Driver (Former Employee) - Grand Rapids, MI - August 30, 2016
This was without a doubt the worst job I have ever had. No overtime pay regardless if you work weekends or seventy hours in a week. Add to that bi-weekly pay and a dispatcher who tries to force you to violate federal laws and writes you up for things you can't control round out this bottom of the barrel company.
Pros
Honestly nothing.
Cons
Everything.

Review of EFS
Dock worker (Current Employee) - Kenosha, WI - September 2, 2015
The job is not hard, but can be a little stressful at times. Not many chances for advancement and hours are not always 8. I do get along with my co-workers.
Pros
close to home
Cons
healthcare

Worst company I ever worked for
Driver (Former Employee) - Kenosha, wi - September 10, 2014
They will work you 70 hours a week, keep you out on the road in a foot of snow, and they don't pay overtime. Benefits are a joke. Run away from this place.
Pros
None
