ezcater strives to maintain a good work life balance. the management team is a little tricky at times and can be a bit disorganized. a clear restructuring of the management would be helpful

Productive and fun workplace

The culture is great, the job is not bad, it is very busy and they are not hiring fast enough. It seems that they would focus on details of your job at times that are minimal in order to make you seem incompetent.

Bad Management for a great company
Customer Service agent (Current Employee) –  Boston, MASeptember 30, 2017
The company itself is amazing. The biggest issue they have is poor management. The supervisor positions are not correct as someone is judging someone on their performance when they are not even working with them directly. Yet they are assigned to them? Very confusing. To be told you are not "cut out for the job" and told "you were advised to do certain things better" makes no sense at all to me. Especially with my health condition that they were well aware of. The supervisors have no heart for their employees and instead ridicule them of their mistakes instead of helping them get better. It is a poorly run hiring style for their supervisors, that it will end up in the end ruining their company.
Pros
unlimited vacations, stock options, 401K
Cons
Very poor management, bad scheduling

great place to work
Customer Service Ninja (Former Employee) –  My homeAugust 6, 2017
ezCater was amazing to work for. I worked from home but there was a corporate headquarters in Boston where I could work out of if I chose to. Every Wednesday they provide lunch to employees and Breakfast on Mondays. Friday there is a beer o clock. Very fun company to work for.

Awesome company,even better people.
Sales (Current Employee) –  BostonOctober 23, 2015
Great place to work. The hours are flexible, you get unlimited vacation, free T passes and catered food. The company is very flat and everyone is approachable. The sales cycles are very quick, you can close 10+ sales a day and you get paid on an uncapped commission plan. Your basically selling revenue to restaurants so the conversations are warm and the people you are talking to are small business owners who will 100% benefit from your help. Its a great place to spend 8+ hours a day and feel like you've only been there for 5.
Pros
Compensation, Culture, Food

Fun, Flexible, Creative, Transparent Culture
Manager (Current Employee) –  Boston, MAOctober 23, 2015
This is a great place to work. It's moved beyond a start up in the fact that it is successful but is still a creative environment. The company has really grown recently and with it comes a lot of value; new management, practices, tools for success, and opportunity.

Great perks with free food, beer friday's, and random cupcakes, but also a group of people that are really passionate about the company. Very flexible hours and able to have a life outside of work. As we continue to grow pay and benefits keep improving.

Hard work is rewarded and commissions are uncapped. Things can change and shift gears often but this is expected with any quickly growing company.
Pros
work/life balance, flexibility, culture
Cons
Benefits could be better

Great work envioment, rediculous quota, extremely low pay.
Inside Sales (Former Employee) –  BostonAugust 26, 2015
So its a great work environment which includes catered lunch on Wednesdays and breakfast on Mondays. Happy hours on Fridays. hours are extremely flexible. OKAY that being said if you like all that over extremely low pay and a ridiculous quota that people barley reach this might be a fit. Management has no control over anyone the weekly meetings are meaningless. Management knows nothing about sales but always says "hey this is sales get use to it". the no dress code is annoying personally i cant take a boss serious if he wears flip flops and a Hawaiian shirt.
Pros
free lunch flexable hours
Cons
low pay horrible benifits

Caterer Partnerships & Inside Sales (Current Employee) –  Boston, MassachusettsMay 4, 2015
ezCater is a fun environment however the compensations is very low. There is room for growth within the company however it takes a very long time to get to that point.

Great people and culture
Sales (Current Employee) –  Boston, MANovember 4, 2014
It's a fun place to work. The people are all very nice, and there are definitely perks of working there (catered lunch). That being said, the fun start-up vibe that the company has also attributes to the negative sides of working there. Things are always changing (sometimes not to the benefit of the employees) and pay isn't anything dazzling. Good place to get experience though if you can keep the boat afloat.

The Best Place to Work!
Sales/Caterer Partnership (Current Employee) –  Boston, MaAugust 21, 2014
Working at ezCater has been the best experience ever. I moved down to Boston this past June for school and although I had many job offers, ezCater seemed to be the best! The company truly values its employees and the work/life balance is amazing. For once I have found a job where I can wake up every morning not dreading to go to. The people/culture here is friendly, outgoing, and supportive. The pay is great and getting catered lunch every week is the best part!
Pros
Free lunch, cupcakes, pay, culture, company goals, work/life balance.
