I would really take a deep look at middle and lower management and see what the real issues the employees are facing. the old guard is no longer there and i hear things are actually changing for the better. for one, holding better review standards, my code would be held hostage for up to a month because it was not how the reviewed expected it to look, despite functioning correctly. This kind of systemic issue causes issues. pushing expectations is great to set a standard but pushing lifestyle expectations is horrible. I will not take a bus to work because I have no access to a bus from my house for example.
