I left because I was being harassed and being retaliated against by training managers and the DM was not doing anything about the issue so I quit flat out.

I was an ASM and I left because I got the flu (on top of other preexisting conditions) and was unable to make it to work. I brought my Manager a note from my Doctor AND the hospital yet she wanted a full medical diagnosis. She became openly hostile at this point.

Left because of poor leadership. Manager would leave whenever, talk on the phone constantly, and be very rude and disrespectful when asking for a day of due to family matters. Would also ask employee 10 min before the shift ended to take over thier shift because they claim to have stuff to do although the manager needed to saty for 4.

I was very happy working there, but the Manager that was there was so unprofessional and would never have change for the register because he couldn't get to the bank so we would have customers use a card or we would have to ask if they had the exact amount or if whoever was working at that time owned a vehicle then that person would be the lucky one to drive to a grocery store to get change because the bank was closed because it was either to late or the weekend. I heard he had quit so i have tried and have not had no luck.

I wouldn't suggest my worst enemy work at family dollar. This is the sorriest company i have ever worked for. The performance manager actually told the workers that the company does not care what we have going on in our personal lives, if they ask us to do something or be at a different store then we have no choice but to do it. Really? As a first time store manager i expected to have the support of the more seasoned managers but all they do is talk about you and catch attitudes when you do ask for help. Family dollar is a very unprofessional and unorganized. One of the reasons why they have so many job fairs.
