The sick leave policy is easy to work with. As a full-time employee, you are allotted unlimited sick days each year, for yourself and 10 sick days for family illness. If you are out more than 5 consecutive days, you do need to go to the doctor and provide documentation, but for 24 hour bugs it is nice. Also, you have the option to work remotely. So, you can work from home, if you are too ill to be in the office, but still able to function.
