Pretty good place for making signs
Video Design Intern (Former Employee) - Fairfax, VA - February 10, 2014
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedEvery day, I would head to the local FastSigns and get straight to work on the digital content for a kiosk unit that the client requested. As it was essentially the whole point of my job, I made sure that I worked hard and tried harder to get the unit ready for the client. It helped that although my supervisor is a nice person, she knows what the project needed to be complete and made sure to keep me on track throughout the run of the project. Also, my co-workers were very nice and casual, even when working on the most demanding jobs the company had to offer. Overall, I would definitely work there again if I wanted to.
Pros
Occasional free lunches (paid for by the other graphic designer), plenty of work opportunities.
Cons
Some difficulty in pulling the project together.

Very professional and productive place to work with a healthy balance between life and work
Production - Installer (Former Employee) - Fayetteville, NC - November 14, 2023
Start the day off usually with a meeting for some of the jobs that need to get done for the day and upcoming, every detail of the job that needs to be covered gets covered. Throughout the day its most of the time its up to the installer to make arrival time, most are already set by the schedule maker. Then you make sure your installer vehicle is cleaned and your workspace is clean.

Great work place and experience
Production Worker (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA - November 13, 2023
Good place to work for depending on each location since it's owned by a franchise owner. Learn alot of new traits not just learning how to make signs but how to also learn work management skills. Great place!

Not rewarding
Installer (Former Employee) - Ohio - November 7, 2023
Staff was nice but you are definitely underpaid for the work that is expected. No raises, only select employees get benefits but the health insurance they do receive barely covers anything. Only 1 week of vacation. Raises or bonuses do not exist. Boss doesn’t appreciate your hard work. Theres better opportunities out there.

Very productive, peaceful, helpful work environment.
Counter Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - October 24, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Very respectful workers and very caring as well. Always helped when I didn’t understand something, never made me feel bad about not knowing the products that well. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Honestly there isn’t really anything stressful about it, all though it can when a big order comes in that is due very quickly. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very calm and peaceful. Working at your pace but also with a deadline. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Usually busy but when it’s not busy with customers there is always a order that needs to be finished.

It was ok
Visual Communications Specialist (Former Employee) - Patchogue, NY - October 19, 2023
Underpaid to do a lot of work, but the gaining knowledge of print shops, working with customers on creative, and design was nice. More of a short term job

Loved it
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Chicago, IL - October 12, 2023
FastSigns ignited my passion for the graphics industry and I’ve loved every element of working there. They are franchised so your results may vary but my location was just great.

Fast paced but… they want to pay like you work in fast food, not something you went to college for
Graphic Designer (Former Employee) - Bradenton, FL - October 11, 2023
They basically paid minimum wage and treated you like a minimum wage employee while you worked there. They did NOT take into consideration that you were bringing a skill that you probably paid tuition to learn.

Jobs at Fastsigns
Good experience, poor compensation
Production Specialist (Former Employee) - Erie, PA - October 4, 2023
Very busy days, you are never sure whay youll be doing. Type of place to tell you "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." Lots of learning opportunities, but no room for growth.

Owner great
Marketing Manager (Former Employee) - Melbourne, FL - September 22, 2023
Owner is great. Fast signs product line is a bit all over the map. If owners of these franchises find a good niche it allows better focus on quality. If owner tries to do every product fast signs corporate offers quality slips as it’s impossible to specialize in all of them.

Not a good place anymore
Director of Operations (Former Employee) - Aurora, CO - September 18, 2023
Was a good place to work until a new owner purchased the business. When that happened, quality was sacrificed, happiness and work life balance were sacrificed, and profits became the only thing that mattered.

Job(s) posted at a higher rate than already filled position(s)
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Everett, WA - September 11, 2023
Not only will you be able to find your job posted at a higher rate than you receive, when you ask for commiserate benefits (because you are in good standing with positive reviews), you will be told they are "hemorrhaging money". But don't worry, they'll keep hiring! Absolutely ludicrous.
Pros
Very solid work/life balance
Cons
Everything else.

Productive and fun place to work. Great company to work if seeking a career in signs.
Graphics Specialist/ Installer (Former Employee) - Winter Park, FL - August 26, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Great people to work with. Available over time. Lots of water and snacks. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Doing installs in the garage in the middle of summer. The A/C unit need some maintenance, replaced or they need to add industrial wall fans to help regulate better airflow for a more comfortable experience. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Most people get along pretty good. Everyone gets their job done. Help is always there when you need it. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Weed & tape. Doing Installs and building crates when necessary.

Management makes or breaks the job. Plenty of opportunities to learn more and do more if willing. Can get busy during back to school times but overall nice experience.

Opportunity, growth, the environment hostile
Graphic Designer/Customer Service (Current Employee) - Rancho Cucamonga, CA - August 22, 2023
I am interested in discussing the challenges I am currently facing within my professional role. The work environment has been characterized by a sense of hostility, accompanied by significant interpersonal conflicts involving the family business owners. There appears to be a notable absence of mutual respect from the owners, which has contributed to a distressing atmosphere. Additionally, the treatment of employees within this context has been concerning, marked by subpar conditions and a lack of support in terms of team dynamics and training opportunities. I am seeking guidance on how best to address and navigate these complex issues.

Gaslighter
Graphic designer (Former Employee) - Southwest freeway houston texas - August 21, 2023
Constantly gaslight. Was instructed to do one thing, then told what wasn't what I was told. Was going crazy thinking I was going crazy. Written instructions were front old jobs and got blamed for mistakes.

Good Place To Start
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Virginia - August 19, 2023
If you want to get into sales, this is a good place to start. Pay is lower than average in this region, but you get experience. Can be hectic and difficult at times.
