Good
Consultant/Contractor (Former Employee) - Nevada - August 9, 2023
Good place to be no complaints. During my time I enjoyed the company of my colleagues and my peers. The tasks were difficult at first, however, the corporate trainers were very encouraging in teaching you how to maintain a calm mind while adjusting and learning to complete each tasks.

Okay
Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) - Remote - April 25, 2023
Okay place to work. Not too many claims a day. The work is not challenging so you get bored easily. Not much changes from day to day. The pay is great and so is the bonus structure

It's an Insurance Company
Underwriter (Current Employee) - Sarasota, FL - November 23, 2022
Pros: They allow hybrid work (2 days per week at home) for select employees. Onsite gym and a decent cafe in the home office. Friendly coworkers. Pay is fair. Cons: Very political environment. Many feel that advancement is determined solely by relationships and is not based on experience or qualifications.

Could be better
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Sarasota, FL - June 30, 2022
FCCI works hard to please its clients and customers, and does a great job of creating a pleasant work environment - on the surface. Many team associates here talk among themselves about their fears of speaking up, so many prefer to their heads down, go to the company activities and parties, and show up as a good team player.

High pressure and difficult workload. Inconsistent and unfair work from home opportunities.
IT Developer (Current Employee) - Sarasota, FL - March 6, 2022
A typical day at work includes daily virtual team meetings, simultaneous production support and project work, a cumbersome documentation and approval process for promoting code changes as well as frequent errors in production applications with slow turn-around for fixes from vendor(s). The workplace culture preference, for upper management, is in person collaboration however teammates are often split up in different regional offices and rarely have face to face contact, outside of virtual meetings. Some new hires and certain teams are fully remote but long-time employees are required to be in the office 3 days per week. The most enjoyable part of the job is the onsite amenities, including a café and gym as well as periodic company events like the annual Fall Fest celebration.
Pros
Annual bonus based on company performance, café and gym onsite as well as periodic company events like the annual Fall Fest celebration.
Cons
Workload, work/life balance, backward culture with limited work from home opportunities, difficult to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

I would stay away
Senior Systems Developer (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - February 8, 2022
Just stay away from this place. Its a toxic work environment and they are pretentious. Managers are mediocre and will stab you in the back the first chance they get. Dont believe the HR replies that “they do their best”. They dont. They only do whats best to cover their own behinds.
Pros
It was a paying job
Cons
Lack of trust, preferential treatment of some employees, micro managing, revolving door unable to keep employees

Total chaos!
UW (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - January 4, 2022
You will be held down and made to feel that you are lucky to be there, but unworthy. Some managers use intimidation tactics. The place is a mess, stay away.
Pros
nice gym
Cons
managers use intimidation tactics, you may have to use intimidation tactics like a 2 week notice to get a raise, you will never get promoted, they hire from the outside at higher rates than what they pay you

Jobs at FCCI Insurance Group
Former Employee
Medical Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - September 6, 2021
Benefits are great. Culture is great. Compensation was lacking. Management was often more concerned about meeting their numbers than their employees.

Some very nice associates to work with.
Loss Control Consultant (Former Employee) - Carmel, IN - July 9, 2021
This is not a fun place to work. Middle management does not really support the goals of top management in Sarasota, Fla. The company is OK to work for until you can find a better position somewhere else. The current CEO is trying to repair damage done by the former CEO and cronies during the past 7 years.
Pros
Short term company to work for while looking for another job.
Cons
Regional Loss Control Director can be disrespectful.

Inflexible C-level management
QA Engineer (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - July 4, 2021
Even if you have a good manager, the C level management is backwards, hide-bound and inflexible. They pretend to care about their employees, but when push comes to shove, they do not.

Not great
Senior Claims Adjuster (Former Employee) - Lawrenceville, GA - March 23, 2021
Not great, but not bad either.a lot of work, but hefty bonuses too. Management can be demanding, but it depends on the office you're working out of. A lot of fto.

Great Place to Work
Medical Management Assistant (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - January 28, 2021
FCCI is a great place to work! They invest in you and want everyone there to succeed. People love their job and are encouraging to all that walk through the door. Management does a great job creating an inclusive culture. The company itself has good benefits and rewards employees for their hard work with bonuses.
Pros
Flexible hours, good work/home life balance, ability to work from home part-time.
Cons
A little behind in this world of technology.

Like a tight-knit family... in a broken down house
Senior Field Agribusiness Underwriter (Current Employee) - Tuscaloosa, AL - May 16, 2020
A fun atmosphere for collaborative working, held back by its clinging to a sunk-cost fallacy. Some of the new computer systems that have been adopted in the past 1-2 years are ABYSSMAL, with no sign of improving and no sign of tossing them out and going back to the older systems. We just get monthly software patches that will fix 1 or 2 problems, but then break 3 or 4 other things that used to work.
Pros
I work fully remote and am very well paid.
Cons
Severe Technological limitations to productivity

No Longer A Good Place To Work
Insurance Professional (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - May 10, 2020
A narcissistic, bullying atmosphere make FCCI a toxic place to work for. Arrogant management that get away with behavior and treatment that major corporations would not tolerate CEO was just arrested for bad behavior. Other issues: Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians; overworked staff in many areas of the company. HR is there, but not really.
Pros
Decent benefits and time off from work
Cons
Poor management and high turnover. Like another reviewer said, a high school culture

Good work environment as they provide you with the necessary things to get your job done. Great coworkers to work with and great programs in place to provide a great work/life balance.
Pros
Good people to work with and bonuses
Cons
only 1/2 contributions to 401k/not a lot of promotions

Don’t believe the “Best Place to Work” badge.
Underwriter (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - March 10, 2020
Horrible company with horrible human beings driving the bus. You are overworked and extremely under appreciated, and if you dare speak up you will find yourself walking out of the door. Fake dishonest leaders hiding behind a mask of righteousness. They are one person in front of you and another behind you. The back stabbing is rampant. Do yourself a favor and stay away .
