Answered July 19, 2019Yes they do and they go back I know for a fact they go back to at least 2007 on background checks reason I know this is because I was hired 6-22-2020 pending a background check and I had a felony in 2007 and that showed up so I didnt get the job .Hope this help you
Answered July 25, 2020The shifts at the station that I worked were preload and outbound. Preload is an early AM shift usually 2 or 3 am until done. Outbound was 4pm till done. The shifts are not flexible. If you show up late who is supposed to handle the packages that you are responsible for? If you leave early who is supposed to handle the packages you are responsible for. You asked for a job, you got the job, just do the job.
Answered November 24, 2020Very fast paced work. A lot of package handlers quit within hours of their first day. But if you’re a real man it’s fun.
Answered November 24, 2020In NJ, for FedEx Ground drivers, you are required (for pre-employment and every 7-12 months) to take and pass the New Jersey DOT physical test (vision, hearing, blood pressure, resting heart rate, movement, lifting, etc.) as well as a pre-employment 5 panal urinalysis drug screening. NJ FedEx Ground Drivers are also randomly drug tested during employment. Expect a drug test if you are involved in a motor vehicle accident or if they suspect you are under the influence of any narcotic, or under the influence of alcohol at work. A positive test results in immediate termination with no grounds to appeal. Expect the random tests to occur during times when a decrease in staff is warranted (i.e. after peak season - November and December, or if/when business in your area starts to slow down for various reasons). Be smart. It's a good job with it's pros and cons, however far from easy. If you need to have that weekly paycheck in order to make ends meet, you should ask yourself if doing anything that would show up on a drug test is worth jeapordizing your position within the company. 🤷♂️
