My many years I worked, overall I can say that I was proud to be a part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Family. For me it was meeting the people, working with the people and the work experience!

Loved serving as an FBI Agent. Lots of room for initiative, variety of job focus, opportunity to advance and move around. Able to assist in bringing about a slice of justice.

FBI encourages independent thinkers and gives you plenty of room to do your job. Poor promotion system. Promotion is based on years you serve. Not merit based.

Operations Center Supervisor in Baltimore, MD

I always felt a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. What we do matters and we are responsible for the safety of others. There is no typical day because in law enforcement there is always something new going on. Unfortunately, executive management changes, but you realize that you have to keep the office going. Your experience means something and helps to shape the culture of the office. For me, the hardest part of the job was feeling like it's never enough or you could've done more. The most enjoyable part of the job was working for the premier law enforcement agency in the country.
