You will work with a great group of co workers including the business. Benefits are awesome and you cannot find it any better anywhere else (at least in my experience).

Customer Service Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 14, 2017
My position at Federal Home Loan Bank was a Receptionist. I was the main receptionist so it was hard to get coverage for me in times of an emergency or a Doctors appointment. Other than that I enjoyed working there.
Pros
Easy to get to work and a great restaurant inside the Bank!
Cons
No growth for me

Mail Room Coordinator/Audio Visual Technician (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 13, 2017
Great place to work. I loved every minute even the hard days. Pay was great. Never missed a meal working there. Family type environment. Only workers that complained were the lazy ones that often found ways to avoid working..
Pros
Great atmosphere, Great pay, good people community involved employer
Cons
Low key Cut throat coworkers and hard to advance or transfer to new position.

Bank Intern (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAAugust 23, 2017
Its a slow paced company tied in regulations. Its good if you are 40 and want to spend time with family. Its not for 25 year olds who can and want to work in cut throat environments

Senior Relationship Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 19, 2017
Great company to work for. The family atmosphere is exceptional and the way that they treat their clients is top notch. A little behind the industry in terms of pay, but the benefits package is outstanding. The best company that I have worked for outside of pay.
Pros
Family atmosphere, benefits
Cons
Pay not on par with market

Good benefits. Free parking. Good cafeteria. The company is one of 12 entity as a secondary-market source of funding. It is non-governmental (privately owned by member banks, who received a dividend), but was chartered by the government in 1932 following the great depression to ensure liquidity to banks for home loans.

Manager (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 14, 2016
I spent many years at this company building and leading efforts to adopt new technology best practices. It was a great place to work for Banking, however, not a progressive culture due to regulated government oversight.

My job eventually maxed out opportunity to advance my skill set due to the niche customer base. Otherwise, one of the best 9-5 jobs in Banking.
Pros
Banking Hours, Lunch Room, Gym, Benefits, Government Holidays
Cons
Limited Growth

work flow based on bank statement cycles, team work is key to success. All to often management followed biased reasoning that did not support the needs for company success in departments.
A large number or coworkers started as temporaries giving the company time to see how they fit which helped balance team and ensure more success. More than half of coworkers were positive contributors to our success, many of them being college student.
Meeting the deadlines during each bank statement cycle when procedures had not been followed by other coworkers creating delays and added stress. The team work among colleagues that helped resolve delimmas created in the situations mentioned above.
Pros
benefits, workout room, charitable outreach in community
Cons
often leadership not balance in approach to staff
