I am a current employee and we have had plenry management problems. The biggest problem with management seems to be with employee relations. I served 7 years in the militart and being in charge of adults doesnt make then your children. There is a misunderstanding about what leadership means.

That beinf said, huge kidos to corporate for stepping in and bringing the axe down on upper management. They have removed some major parts of the management and have taken a genuine intrest in our needs and have provofed opportunity for advancement. Aftwr 2 years in the qarehoise i applied for and was offered the posotion of operations coordinator. Want to make a change, step up the ladder and make the change. The. wnwfots package is a dream as are the added benefits. We get amazing health care and a ton of paid time off to use. The company is good, but management in aome locations lack.

Have a meeting and ask e drone to leave personal business at home. To please co.e and do best job they can. Take pride in what you do.communiczte o breaks and lunch with each other. When on clock do your best thats what your being paid for Nd before you know it somebody I would hope noticed. All companys need good people and honestly they are far and few between. I am a current employee that's has been with the company for roughly a decade. Our branch has gone down hill in my tenure with the company. Use to be a great place to work but not so much anymore. Local branch manager is not fit for the job. Customers and employees alike do not approve of him. He is very one sided. He's always right. You're always wrong. He is not approachable nor is he ever available. He had over 400 hours listed off of work last year that was on the vacation calendar (probably a couple 100 more hours that he missed that wasn't on the calendar). Only reason regional management isn't on his trail is due to our operation manager who is extremely good at his job and our branch turns a great trading profit.
Moral is low and we have had several people leave due to management at both of our local locations. I am currently seeking other employment opportunities outside of the company. Working for Ferguson can have its rewards as long as they have the correct people in management. Unfortunately for our locations, we do not have the correct people in place.

Corporate needs to clean out it's horrible management team in Omaha Nebraska. The wool is not covering my eyes anymore. The whole management team except the credit manager is a nightmare.
There egos will get the best of them sometime.

Corporate needs to visit every branch and talk to it's employees about the horrible management it has put in place at the branch level. The branch level management needs someone to manage them that has a backbone and who will not put up with there childish behavior.
