Auto Mechanic (Former Employee) - Gaithersburg, MD - December 11, 2012
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedLiked working for Chrysler, I learned a lot about their products in the three years I worked for them. I did pretty much anything they asked me to do from P.D.I's (pre delivery inspections) to putting in an engine. Management was too inconsistent at the shop I was at. I started their the very first day the place opened and from that time until the end of October 2012 we have had 3 service mangers, 4 parts mangers, and 2 different service directors. The hardest part of the job would probably have to be making sure everything is filled out correctly for warranty purposes. The most enjoyable part of the job was just working with my co-workers who I had been around for those three years and driving some of the newest cars out before anyone else.

Chill work place
Production Associate (Former Employee) - Center Line, MI - June 1, 2023
Probably one of the most laid back jobs i ever had. Pay is good with plenty of overtime and double time. The only downside is that it takes a while to get rolled over to full time.

Don't apply
Assembly Line Worker (Current Employee) - Toledo, OH - April 22, 2023
This is one of the worst placed I ever worked. They don't roll anyone over to full-time. People have been Temps there for 4-5yrs. The company constantly violated the contract they agree too, and what's worse is the union let's them. Temps are treated like garbage there, forced all the time.

I didn't enjoy it
Logistics Specialist (Former Employee) - Trenton, MI - April 18, 2023
Poor leadership, work is boring and unfulfilled. Was worst job experience of my life. I would not recommend this company unless you are connected to somebody in leadership. Those people tend to have it a little better than the off the street hires that don't know anybody. Average tenure at this company is 1.5 years for a reason.

Assembly Operator (Former Employee) - Sterling Heights, MI - April 1, 2023
It was okay. Great pay. You just have to stay away from the plant life. Go to work and go home. STAY out the way. Again great pay, benefits, and longevity.

Stress free living
Operator (Former Employee) - Belvidere, IL - March 29, 2023
Building vehicles is hard work but the pay here and the insurance benefits create a lifestyle that allows for stress free living so long as you aren’t completely irresponsible with your finances.

Greta pay and benefits, but management is lost.
Professional Maintenance Specialist (Former Employee) - Kokomo, IN - March 7, 2023
As a PMS we were set up to fail right away. Literally the first 3 months we did nothing as no one knew what a PMS was. Only after I just started tackling some documentation after boredom did we have a job. That effort was immediately grasped by upper management as their own initiative. Almost every PMS quit so that should tell you something. Stellantis owes the PMS crew an apology. We weren’t allowed to transfer to different positions and the few that stayed only got other positions after we left. Then we get letters that we owe Stellantis money. I’ll never buy another Stellantis vehicle for life and that’s sad as GM was a great place to work in comparison. Stellantis wasted a lot of talent that really was excited to work there by having uninvolved managers.
Pros
Benefits and Pay
Cons
Management was lost.

The union is in bed with management and the workers are out for themselves
Production Operator (Current Employee) - Toledo, OH - February 26, 2023
Do not apply if they offer you less than $20 as a temporary employee. No guarantee for fulltime in the foreseeable future. They are bringing in fulltime from other plants and haven’t had a roll over class in 3+ years
Pros
Good pay/benefits IF/WHEN you ever get fulltime
Cons
No pension. Terrible work ethic from most of the employees

Fca
Utility Worker (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - February 21, 2023
Hardwork, mandatory OT, work seven days a week. You will be placed on the loading dock for 5 years even if you're physically uncapable. FCA doesn't care about their employees at all. The union is a waste of your hard earned money the union works against you nor for you.
Pros
Pay and benefits
Cons
Mandatory OT, work 7 days, power trip

10 years
Assembly Worker (Former Employee) - Warren, MI - February 16, 2023
I worked at this company for 10 years and it changed my life. Yes, it allowed me to provide for myself and my family but there was a cost. I wasn’t there to be able to raise my own child. The hours were long and the jobs were not ergonomic. That became and issue when I was injured on the job. I was very up front and honest about my injuries that could not have been sustained anywhere else. I feel like the company knew that, but of course they weren’t going to just do the right thing. The compensation for my injuries and the time that I put into that company didn’t balance out. I’m changing my life now and on to something different because I could never go back. It wasn’t so bad when I first started, but the culture changed tremendously over the years and it was an environment I could no longer be apart of.
Pros
Paid weekly
Cons
Attendance program is difficult, especially in the first year.

Corporate politics at its finest.
Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing (Former Employee) - United States - February 12, 2023
It is not what you know or how hard you work, it is who you know. Many are employed because of family ties, etc. There is no loyalty on the employer side. Compared to other vehicle manufacturers pay scale is on the low side and not very competitive.
Pros
Company Car
Cons
Must have live to work attitude
