Prejudice for new Mexicans is very apparent
Support Associate (Former Employee) - Albuquerque, NM - October 8, 2023
No assistance from managers who work from another state. No support from other groups at the facility. Customer's were rude and expected you to take the blame for their errors. The facility was kept at a constant 78 degrees year round in an effort to be more energy efficient, which turned out to be a real sweat shop.

Cool place to work, not super diverse.
University talent recruiter (Former Employee) - Morrisville, NC - June 21, 2023
Job was pretty cool. On site has great amenities. However, I was a contract worker so job security was not guaranteed. But overall it was about a 7/10 working there.

A good start, but not a steady job. Make sure you know what you are getting into when you sign on.
Human Resource Coordinator (Former Employee) - Merrimack, NH - June 6, 2023
Many good people work there and it's good stepping stone for those starting out. You can participate in meetings and attend parties just like the regulars. Everyone loves being there and they are helpful. Many of them started as Fidelity TalentSource and they will tell you their stories. They treat everyone, perm or temp, with respect and will make you believe that anything is possible. You hear all of these success stories of people who get converted after a few months to a year, but the truth is conversion depends on luck and if they have slots to fill. They dangle conversion over your head like a carrot and will replace it with a stick. They will make you believe conversion is possible, but remember that you are up against other TalentSource employees, and some of them are looking to get converted as well. It doesn't matter how hard you work. Maybe you will get converted, Maybe you won't. It really is in the hands of fate. You basically live and die by the contract extension, which is a scary proposition since there are no guarantees you will become permanent or if your contract will be extended. Near the end, I was starting to feel disillusionment because of lack of work and communication with my manager. When and if you are released from your contract, use the experience you get from this job and take it with you when you look for something with better job security. I enjoyed getting up in the morning, doing the work, and also miss all of the connections I made at Fidelity.
Pros
You are working for Fidelity Investments, Beautiful campus, You also get to work from home most of the time.
Cons
Being that you are contract, you get no PTO, pay raises or paid holidays. The health care is also bargain basement. Depending on your job, you may also have to take a mandatory, unpaid furlough during the holidays.

Okay
Call Center Representative (Former Employee) - Durham, NC - April 11, 2023
Lots of mandatory overtime during peak season. No paid holidays as a contractor but you do at least get the day off. Pay is better than most other call centers.

Not a secure job to take!
Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Westlake, TX - January 16, 2023
There is a reason why Fidelity Talent Source exists, and don't be deceived by promises that you will be converted over time. Getting hired directly by Fidelity Investment is the most secure possible route into working at Fidelity Investments. However, if you are desperately in need of a job to survive, take the talent source offer and work on getting something permanent and secure because it could take you forever to transition to a full-time role and risk getting terminated early with or without notice or not getting renewed after your contract. The hourly payment may look good on paper but comes with zero benefits; you will be asked to take some days off without pay, making you believe you need the rest to recharge, but this is a management trick to reduce cost. The team you will be working with will significantly impact your career; there is so much internal politics. Poor work culture and managers poorly communicate, but I believe this is different in a few teams.

Just Started
Brokerage Operations Representative (Current Employee) - Westlake, TX - August 13, 2022
So far it’s been wonderful. Very supportive staff, the first week was amazing with getting to know different ones in certain departments, being introduced to your team members, and communicating using online tools when applicable. People looking into starting their career in finances and investments, I would definitely recommend this company. Especially if they are looking for a mix of work from home/in-person attendance.

End of contract became gray and messy
Mail Clerk Messenger (Current Employee) - Jersey City, NJ - February 16, 2022
I was promised career vitality and ample opportunity, regardless of whether or not my current contract would be extended. Near the end of my current contract, I actually had to ask what the decision was regarding my contract, so I could mentally prepare myself just in case. While working with fidelity, I challenged my management team a lot by asking questions(was being taught by experience, not policy) throughout the contract and what do you know? my contract is NOT extended. I explained everything to HR and they insisted I would be able to reassign as per their direction.. with no problem. HR and management encourage me to apply for reassignment, I have an interview and get told the role I applied for was previously filled before the interview. The other positions I applied for, I would not be considered because they were in the middle of their interview process. Extremely Unorganized and poorly executed business plans. I have bills to pay and HR insists I “stay hopeful” and “keep applying to other positions being posted throughout the company, I will find the right fit.” Wishful thinking does not pay the bills. I worked hard in hopes of staying with the company because of all the wonderful benefits offered but they will try to mentally break you and throw you off your A game if you don’t look the part or ask too many questions. Goodluck and beware!

Jobs at Fidelity TalentSource
Temporary Contract work. Decent pay however toxic employees will make you run for the hills.
Financial Services Associate (Former Employee) - Durham, NC - January 18, 2022
At first, they will "dine and wine" you with orange juice and bagels during training and then you realize you're a temp worker wishing and hoping by the end of the 6 months contract, they would hire you on as a permanent employee. Don't get sick or call out, looks bad on you. They keep records of your every move, lunch time, break times. They will ding you on every single thing. Stressful to the max.
Pros
Good training, Training took about 2-3 months, the trainers were very helpful and friendly.
Cons
Toxic long-time employees are gossipy, bitter because they have been there for years and have not been promoted, at first they are very friendly but when they deem you unworthy, they give you the cold-shoulder; they won't answer any of your questions, take forever to give you answers, and talk smack about you to management.

Failure to shift to an online environment
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Merrimack, NH - July 15, 2021
The failure to transition to an online environment lead to compounding issues. No time between calls is difficult. Out of date technology compounds other issues. Probably would have been great to work at 5-10 years ago along with being in office. Managers make it clear their priority is you not taking days off and feeling bad if you get sick.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Consideration for the workers

Incredibly boring job
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Merrimack, NH - June 27, 2021
The job was to answer the same questions over and over with no time in between calls. No time off for the first six months. Mandatory overtime would just be added to your shifts.
Pros
Nothing really
Cons
Poor work balance, mind numbingly boring

Tough job, awesome options to advance
Financial Services Associate (Current Employee) - Merrimack, NH - May 20, 2021
I’m a temporary phone rep for Fidelity and the job is not that awesome but the working under Fidelity is great, the have so many opportunities for advancement and have a great training program as well. The flexibility is horrendous, you’re not supposed to take any days off or you won’t get converted to full time, I had to miss my college graduation :///
Pros
Good environment
Cons
No flexibility, no time off

Fun place to work at.
End User Support Technician (Current Employee) - Smithfield, RI - May 6, 2021
Goals are very detailed and management usually can determine direction of company. IT department is largely organized and coherent with demands, though somewhat pushy when deadlines are tight.

Don’t believe the false promises
Financial Services Associate (Former Employee) - Hebron, KY - April 15, 2021
They promise to have a good work life balance but, you are thrown into mandatory OT with no warning and if you can’t do it it counts against you. You can do everything right but advancement based on surveys and if a customer gives you a bad survey it counts against you greatly.
Pros
Work from home, paid weekly
Cons
Micromanaging, no support after lackluster training

There are no benefits and no chances to advance
Senior Data Center Technician (Former Employee) - Rtp, NC - October 22, 2020
The benefits are basically zero. My coworker had their best plan and went to get a root canal and he said it was like he didnt have insurance. There is no PTO and you dont get holidays off but if you stay with them for a year (the shift I got was 3rd shift at the data center working four 10's either wed-sat or sun-wed, so weekends and holidays). But if you last a year doing that they will pay you an extra paycheck every 6 months. This basically amounts to them cashing out what PTO you SHOULD have gotten and giving it to you as a "bonus". The group I was with I worked for talent source (back when they were called veritude) for almost 2 years before being hired on to fidelity full time. The only reason I was converted was because someone at fidelity in our group got fired... otherwise I'd still be a contractor. So the only way you're getting a promotion here is if someone dies or gets fired or finds a new job.
Pros
competitive pay, weekly pay
Cons
no PTO or paid holidays, terrible benefits, no possibility for promotion

Good but can improve
Analyst (Current Employee) - Boston, MA - October 19, 2020
Great place to work. However, it takes a little bit too long to join the company since there are a lot of paper work you need to do and the HR is not responsive as i thought.

good people
Premium Services Representative (Temp Assignment) (Former Employee) - Durham, NC - February 16, 2020
This is a temp company, but a good one to work for. The communication was good and I could get basic benefits for not to much money. I keep an eye on their available jobs because I would love to go back and work there.
