Great workplace for those who are new to the working.
Cashier/Server (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXMarch 21, 2019
Great customers, amazing employees, and fantastic employers. This was by far the most fun I've had while working at a fast food restaurant. Majority of the customers that come in are usually the same who come in every week.
Pros
free lunches.

Rough times - no food culture. Leaders CYA for $$$
Vice President of P&A, Treasury, and Brand Finance (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXFebruary 13, 2019
Not good. Leadership changes and over-reaction to activist shareholders led to inconsistent policies, cost-chopping via job elimination, and bad operations decisions.
Pros
Not there long
Cons
Talk to anyone...

Okay food, no communication between employees
Team Member (Current Employee) –  San Antonio, TXNovember 25, 2018
The food we serve can be made at the right portions but to me it not enough. The management makes you solve problems yourselves, and we only get more money if we “kiss up” to the managers
Pros
50% off meals under $10, but less than $5 if it’s over $10
Cons
Routinely had no time for breaks, was promised overtime but can’t anymore because it messes with the managers bonus, manager repeatedly rubs the amount of money he makes while we struggle to pay our vehicles, nobody helps, we were supposed to learn every position but it’s only 3 people out of 2 shifts of 15 and 4 people

Terrible management,inconsistent and stressful
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Hialeah, FLAugust 10, 2018
Not really meant to be a long term job, terrible management and most times it was a hectic place. Hours were also very inconsistent, as sometimes you could work the morning hours till closing and then opening the next day until 5pm in the afternoon.
Pros
50% Employee discount for Family and friends.
Cons
Short breaks, bad management

Management is difficult to deal with. there is no flexibility when it comes to work and life. We were expected to work weekends and late on Mondays. I do not believe they care about their employees.

Miserable 😖 place to work
General Manager (Former Employee) –  FloridaApril 11, 2018
Managers are miserable from the stress and long hours .You work more than 50 hours per week and always are short staff that makes your day even more difficult. They scare you with write ups.Team members are miserable 😭 for their hours and pay.
They do have good fresh food and I would recommend to the people to eat there .
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Didn’t really see anything that would keep me at the company

From chaos to chaos
Private (Former Employee) –  PrivateApril 9, 2018
The company has gone through a massive change. While changes were necessary, the speed and expectations to meet the demands were brutal. What was done within one year usually takes five years of progressive change. It was like an atom bomb went off. The company moves from chaos to chaos quickly without fully understanding the needs of their employees. Three rounds of layoffs and the workload didn't slowdown. No executive seems to care about the workload. It's all about producing.
Pros
The people.
Cons
An executive team that needs to be more in touch with the brands and not afraid of the board.

Chaotic
Executive (Current Employee) –  Addison, TXMarch 28, 2018
The company is going through a turn around now after hiring a new CEO a year ago. The CEO and management team are good people but the company had slid so far down that the turn around is extremely painful. Major cultural changes have been needed at the store level and are very slow in coming. There have been many layoffs and they are still coming every day. Worst of all, the company is making very fast, ill advised changes at the request of the board of directors who are impatient for the turn around to be completed, thus stunting the long term viability of the company.

Good hard working people treading water in a very fast current of chaotic change. You honestly don't know what's going to happen from day to day.
Pros
Compensation is very good.
Cons
Chaotic, short term decision making, layoffs, slow changing culture.

Very Unorganized
Crew Member (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 11, 2017
I loved one of their restaurants and thought the company was great until I worked at the other restaurant and saw some very horrendous stuff. Pollo Tropical is a good place to work at but they closed in Houston. Taco Cabana is horrible and the manager does not act like one. The assistant does more than the actual manager and the managers should be trained properly and the crew as well. They need to have matters and not be all rude and ratchet.
Pros
Half off

productive and fun workplace
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) –  Miami, FLNovember 7, 2017
In many cultures, food is a way to express love, to welcome friends, and to create family and community bonds. Those values are at the heart—or “corazon”—of the culture at Fiesta and its brands, Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana. They chose the Latin American Tree Frog as their icon because, like its brands, its roots can be found in the tropical lowlands from southern Mexico, throughout Central America and into northern South America and is seen as a symbol of luck, wealth and prosperity. Fiesta brands have rich histories rooted in great food, hospitality, and warm service.

My time here
Manager (Former Employee) –  FloridaMay 16, 2017
There are good people in the company, very good people..and hideous peope just like anywhere.
Unfortunately the company is being run by people with no stake in it other then stock price and they have run it into oblivion. Fortunately for some the brand is well established here in Florida and for that reason we are safe from the corporate greed and mismanagement that has destroyed the brand in other states.
Pros
Discounted meals
Cons
Horrid mid and upper management
