Lead Technician in Sterling, VA

They could do better!
I worked for this company for 6 years. They push productivity and training is pushed to the wayside. Team members are unwilling to help, because it takes away from their own productivity. The company motto is save the customer money by paying the technicians less for doing the job.

Assistant Store Manager in Raleigh-Durham, NC

Firestone is a solid company to work for. They offer good benefits although the heath coverage is pricey. It used to be a fun place to work but it has turned into a more demanding job with upper management hitting you with the stick and offering smaller carrots. They have some solid values but something is lost now. Depending on what you do at Firestone you can make good money and learn a lot.

This is a decent middle of the road for entry level guys to get experience, its a decent place but the pay and hours can be a little short due to being flag(per job not per hour) but most are good shops and you will be okay, but there is a 30 hour gaurentee. Which is nice when weathers poor and no cars show up at all still get paid. Which is better than nothing

Store level is good for the most part but......upper management and corporate not really in touch with what truly goes on at the store level. Decent pay. My store really does feel like a family.
