The comments here are accurate. FRB issues one of the most stringent background checks around. Your credit needs to be golden. Our HR rep would not tell me what the magic number was but based on desirable candidates we were prevented from hiring, I'd say it's 700. In addition, even if your current credit is strong, if you've ever defaulted on a loan or gone into foreclosure, they will nix you. Oddly, DUIs are ok. Last but not least, they will scour your criminal record all the way back to high school and make no mistake, they WILL flag any positives on your RAP sheet and investigate. If you're squeaky clean, with an > 700 credit score, you have nothing to worry abot.
