Typical Day- Meet clients and assist them. I came in a novice and FirstLight paid for all of my training. I felt supported and like this was a place I could grow.The hardest part of this position is when a client passes. They become like family. However, the best part of this job is still the relationships you get to have with clients.

Management is always changing. They require you to pay for your own background check and online training and then do not call you back even after confirming everything was good.

The owners can’t keep office staff. They micromanage and are rude and disrespectful.

Do not recommend

Management :They will work you to death if you let them. They need a better screening system during the hiring/interview process. What I learned mediocre health insurance, unprofessional staff, zero regard for caregivers health and wellbeing, “If you’re sick, just take some medicine” I mean, the elderly are already with illness and ailments, so why compromise anyone’s health??!! I totally understand why they have issues keeping caregivers.. A typical day at work… Your day could change anytime and the let you know last minute..

My experience with this company was horrible, please read review below!

In my experience, the initial Interview process was easy and the management staff was very engaged BUT ONLY IN THE BEGINNING. They do not honor promises made in the interview and they do not value their employees. They make adjustments to scheduling without notice and never honor requests for employee schedule changes. I would definitely recommend searching elsewhere for employment opportunities. If you choose to proceed with employment with First Light, please thoroughly read any and all documents prior to signing due to major inconsistencies in verbal information and printed orientation materials vs electronic documents provided for signature at on boarding.

Great workplace!!

Everyone in the office works their butts off to make sure you're happy with your schedule. Not to mention the clients are awesome. The owners of the company are super nice and welcoming as well.

Very rewarding

Worked there years ago but still have good memories. Management was great at the time. Lots of cases to pick up and hours if wanted. Gained lots of experience I use now as an RN

fulfilling work place

Great company for new CNAs coming into the field. Great opportunity for nursing students, the cases are mostly one on one’s so it’s not a stressful environment at all. The pay could be a little better but it’s okay if your new to the home health care field.

It wasn’t the best experience, but having flexible hours were nice. They would always expect you to pick up more shifts than what you wanted and were pushy when you said no. Most office people were nice.

The same as every caregiving company I have known. The service that we give , depends entirely on us ,the caregivers

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The constant changing of clients, they complained to us, not the company. Not having enough hours,and the long and expensive driving.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?People in the office are en general nice, but somehow, the communication is not two ways. You receive phone calls or messages during work ,or your days off, if you do the same, they will let you know ,you can't.What is a typical day like for you at the company?I drive to the clients home, and what I do, depends on there conditions and needs. Sometimes they will use you as a driver, or a housekeeper, that is part of our job, but not the reason

This is a great place to work. Everyone works hard and also finds time to smile. The hardest part of the job is trying to find the time to get everything done on time as there is always something to work on. I strongly recommend this company.

Caring for people is the biggest plus to working here. Hours can very and you might be stuck to work longer if a caregiver calls out. The people in the office are nice and helpful
