It doesn't really matter how many sick days you get, if you work in IT, because you can be called whether you're in training, on vacation, or sick. There is no concept of work/life balance.
No sick pay, you have to use your earned paid time off , which is 12 hours per month. You get points though for time off that is not scheduled in advance so that hurts your adherence.

Sick days and vacation days are lumped together. You get 18 total days, which sounds like a great deal until you catch a couple of bugs from the inconsiderate people who come in to work sick and give you their crud once or twice. You are covered for your sick days, but say goodbye to your vacation.
