Email Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) – Alexandria, VA – February 15, 2017
This place is hemorrhaging employees of all levels. Fishbowl was a great place to work before the CEO change (see glassdoor for more information on that) in 2014, however it has been a steady decline ever since. Poor examples of leadership, no communication among departments, and managers that are promoted based on "seniority" and not based on experience/talent.
Many employees have quit after a mere 6-12 months in the position, which should be a bright red flag to the department head etc., however excuses are constantly made and leadership does not accept responsibility for departmental flaws.
If you like bagels and coworker friends, this is the place for you. However, do not expect to remain in the company for long as it will eventually drive you out like everyone else.
Bagel Fridays and great coworkers
Intolerable management/expectations. Salary is low for industry/area.
Professional Services (Current Employee) – Alexandria, VA – March 25, 2013
Largely a good place to work. Fun co-workers and nice CEO. Can be long hours at times. Best to talk to a variety of people who work there when interviewing to get a better sense of what the group dynamics are and the satisfaction level.
bagel friday and happy hours on the deck
some managers better than others for recognition and advancement
