I went into this role with no experience in financial training but I was able to transfer over the skills I learned as Roadshow Coordinator to excel in my role as a Program Manager at Fitch. This was a demanding job which required extreme attention to detail and the ability to wear many different hats. During my time at Fitch I successfully managed many training programs but the two I am most proud of took place in Latin America and Tokyo. Both programs were a success and proved that I can manage logistics for events both large and small anywhere in the world.
Their health benefits were poor, and they lacked clear direction from management on how to scale their business. Marketing department was very green and content was consistently published incorrectly.
Fitch Learning is a very nice company to work for. The sales manager is very nice and helpful. Everyone is all ways willing to help each other out. The really have a good team spirit.
The school is a small set up with experience instructors. There is no pressure from teaching perspective as we got very brilliant students. They only need a little help to fly on themselves.
The Good: Overall strong company with many great regional and home office (London) players. Good products. Generally client focused. Generally awesome colleagues.
The Bad: Too many not good players from management on down in important positions. Too frequent disorganization, and too often business decisions made on management whims. Morale can be an issue. Products in many cases need more development.
In Summary: If you are familiar with training companies, you will find this a good work environment, even given its limitations and needs for improvement.
