Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Wichita, KSApril 7, 2019
They don't care how hard you work they will promote there friends. There are inappropriate relation'ships between leads and and regular employees. If you take a 15 min break and need to go the restroom they dock your pay for however much time you take. The head guy lets one of the Managers call people out and embarrass in front of everyone.
Pros
weekly pay

lies

Stifling Environment and Terrible Culture
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDApril 1, 2019
They will try to pile as much work on you as possible so they can charge other companies more for your work while paying you the same. They will consistently schedule you for hours you have told them you aren't available. Management does not care as you're all replaceable. There is next to no hope for advancement, they tend to hire from outside the company for any advancement opportunities not even advertising them internally. Pay is abyssmal and they don't want you to discuss it so that employees who have been with the company don't realize they're underpaid even worse. They don't fire slackers and don't reward hard work.

Quiet relaxed place to work. A lot of fun games within the company that team members participate in. NO one breathing down your neck. Awesome break room.

My manager was great, the hours are flexible and the calls vary.

As long as you show up on time with a positive attitude you should do great.

Pretty easy work
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDDecember 16, 2018
A typical day consists of talking over the phone and taking orders or just helping customers. The only downside is that some of the customers are really mean over the phone other than that it is a great place to work.
Pros
Easy work
Cons
Customers can be rude

Inconsistent Training
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDAugust 29, 2018
You are allowed to clock in up to 5 minutes early each day, are scheduled 39.5 hours a week if you are full time and have decent benefits. There are several inconsistencies in training and procedures.

Co workers ard the best thing about this place.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  North Sioux City, SDJune 20, 2018
This place is not competitively in pay for the area. Low ball pay!! Lowest in the area. The management team is all best friends. All of them. Theres no confidetial when you need it to be. They all are tight knit. Theres zero advancement no matter how long you have worked there. None. You are disposable. They dk not care. They will tell you one thing and it will be the opposite. They wont let you speak to anyone in charge in the main office or you will receive a wrotten up. So there is nobody you can go to if you have issues with thr managment team. The job itself it easy. But is stressful. When all the time you have nothing but computer or phone systems. And if there air conditioning goes out. You are to work in a building in a small area when its above 98 degrees. They do not care.
Pros
Co workers
Cons
Management. Unable to go to anyone higher than any one. Pay stinks

people and training make the Job
Technical Support (Current Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDMay 30, 2018
If like many of us you have worked at call centers before you know how they are, Five start is a cut above them, mangers that listen and actually do something with your ideas, giving you credit.

The biggest thing here is training, 4 weeks of training sounds like over kill but its great, you learn a lot and they want to learn from your past experience.

Myself ? I started as a temp over Christmas, they saw my skill and offered me a full time slot in Tech, I hope to move up in time others have in the past.

Growing company that believes in people and sets them up for success
Customer Service Associate (Current Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDMay 25, 2018
I have been with Five Star for 3 years, I love it there. The managers are so helpful in showing you what you need to know to meet your metrics to make extra incentives such as monthly bonuses. The people you work with are amazing, the atmosphere is fun, casual, and friendly. You get a lot of PTO that starts accruing the day you do. If you go to work every day, dedicated, putting your all into the company it will NOT go unrecognized. There’s room for advancement if you work hard and do your job to the best of your ability. The CEO’s actually take the time to walk the floor and say hi to us. Makes you feel appreciated. You get out what you put in and that is with anything in life. Management is flexible with time off if given enough notice, such a great place to work. HIGHLY recommend working here.
Pros
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k after 60 days and PTO after 90. Monthly bonuses, customer advocate, employee of the month.
Cons
Don’t realky have any to list

It was an okay company to work for but the job was temporary and seasonal and I would have preferred to have a ongoing job and be able at sometime to receive benefits.

ok job
Customer Success Representative (Former Employee) –  Fargo, NDMarch 26, 2018
The job was ok but did not pay enough for job functions and the amount of clients some reps had to work with. The center was very dirty especially the women's bathrooms. I left due to untreated bed bugs in the center that were found and shown to management.

Fun but high stress
Customer Success Representive (Current Employee) –  Wichita, KansadMarch 12, 2018
Good place to work. Flexible schedule but pay is very low for the work. I can see then losing a lot of good employees due to pay since there a lot of call centers in Wichita that pay 2.00 to 3.00 more per hour with less work.
Pros
Flexible schedule, good managers
Cons
Low pay, high cost for insurance, high stress
