Have a longer break. Show employee appreciation, even just a comment of good job is better than nothing. Listen to people who call in to HR, don't just brush them aside. Healthcare is too expensive for Anyone just make 8 to 9 dollars a hour. It leaves nothing to live on.

Stop giving people “verbal warnings” and write ups. Stop being afraid to fire someone for NOT doing their job. A person keeps messing up and on purpose for over a year let them go, so you can keep good employees
