I think the FSU's School of Theatre will do well enough with its show protocol as it primary concern is patron safety and enjoyment. As for its funding, since it is one of the smaller colleges of Florida State and that won't be changing anytime soon, I think it'll keep doing fine if it runs shows that grasp popular attention.
