Stop hiring low skilled personnel and then expect them to perform moderate to high skilled labor.
Increase starting pay to be competitive with surrounding industries so that Florida Tile can have an opportunity to get skilled labor.
Avoid creating wasteful new positions to make up for the lack of skilled personnel.
Hold management accountable. Start making the directors direct, managers manage and the leaders lead.
Reevaluate all positions and correct the pay scale. Not all positions are created equal.
Completely toss out the current raise policy. No longer miss raises because an employee decided to change a position to better one self or the company. Employees should not be penalized there accrued raises for taking on a new position when raises are based on a performance matrix.
Establish a guide (rule) book that doesn't change every five minutes based on who you are.
Make Florida Tile great again!
Listen to your employees. Put up a suggestion box maybe,
Increase starting pay, hire from within.
I would stop micro managing the sales forces and empower them with product knowledge and support
Get rid of some of the management and get rid of some of the made up jobs in that place
I would quit treating my people like they were in jail
Fairer treatment. The warehouse people are treated very poorly while the sales staff does lunch and fanciful events. Make the warehouse workers feel more a part of the success of the company
Be diligent and productive, team work is a plus that improves company performance
Make sure my employees were enjoying their job and did not have any problems in the work plae, enjoyed working there, if they employees thought there needed to be any changes or upgrades to the equiptment available.
