Are they telling the truth?
Consutant (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GANovember 28, 2018
They say all the right things, they smile, they laugh and they make you believe in the future. Then you look beneath the covers and you wonder where the revenue is coming from? Why are they asking you to artificially inflate your pipeline? How come there is zero collaboration among what are still 3 seperate entities? How come the business is not growing but they are constantly hiring? The answer? I don't know. I do know is I never for a second felt safe and started looking for a new job after 6 months.
Pros
Salary was decent
Cons
Management never tells the real story.

IAM Security Executive (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJuly 17, 2018
FPDR is attempting to mature into a pure cybersecurity consulting company by merging three separate companies into one. They efforts so far have had mixed results.
The company culture exhibits the aurora of professionalism, but in reality its a passive-aggressive, back-stabbing and uncooperative group of individuals. Everyone is out for themselves.
Pros
Paid for my travel
Cons
Petty political environment

consulting position with great flexability
FAS Consultant (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJune 19, 2018
I enjoy working at Focal-Point as a Financial Advisory Consultant. The pay is great and the ability to work from home and minimal travel is fantastic. Great team members and interesting projects. However, there are down periods, sometimes weeks, between projects, especially in the summer months. Overall, a fantastic and diverse firm!
Pros
Pay, Learning Experience, Flexibility
Cons
Downtime between projects

I like the Job
Manager (Current Employee) –  Ney YorkJanuary 9, 2018
The job requires a lot of travel. I enjoy the work, but it is a consulting firm, so you do have to pull your weight and work hard and for long hours.

Good Starting Role
Senior Consultant, Cyber Risk Advisory (Former Employee) –  Newport Beach, CADecember 29, 2017
Good company to start out at in the auditing and security world. Unsure of management's direction and lack of transparency are causing the company to spiral downward.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Mandatory to be in office regardless of workload

Ping pong table and giant bean bag chairs
Cyber Security Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Tampa Bay, FLDecember 6, 2017
extremely quite - very difficult to talk to candidates about salary, when you are sitting in a pit hardest part of the job.

Cult culture - if you don't fit into the clicks, not good. My partners loved me, however.
Pros
not sure
Cons
very short breaks

Can be fun, but new hire training needs improvement
Manager (Current Employee) –  FloridaAugust 8, 2015
The company is a relatively young company. The benefits are great, but they tend to hire young, unexperienced employees and expect the more seasoned staff to train them during client assessments that are under very tight deadlines. The new hire training process needs a lot of improvement.
