Big family health center with not enough staffing for the amount of patients. This is very stressful when coworkers are not willing to help. The patient comes first to some extent but not all the time. Patients should never be disrespectful to anyone.

medical assistant
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXFebruary 26, 2018
This company has the potential to be great. The pay is below average. The medical insurance has high deductible and few providers accept the insurance. When you tell management that you need something that can better your workflow. They tell you to put on the "wish list". The electronic equipment is out dated and does not work half of the time. Sadly there is favoritism involved. They have every excuse in the book as to why you cannot receive a pay raise. They misplace personal and important records that belong to the employee. Then they require the employee to resubmit the same paperwork that was lost. The work load is heavy for some employees and your day to day operations are beyond multi-tasking. Just about everyday you are doing the job of 2-4 people due to the lack of staff. The training is not good and you have no downtime to get caught up on your work which is called administrative day. They have 2 functioning clinics and sadly there is one that gets neglected on a constant basis. Sadly also management formulates their opinion of you by what others say.
Pros
Federal Holidays off
Cons
Benefits, low pay, and management

The CEO of Foremost FHC is amazing. She is focused on the health and well-being of the Center overall and that includes the employees, patients, vendors and community relations.
Pros
The CEO and her management philosophy
Cons
Not enough funding to support the amount of staff needed
