Warehouse/Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Rothschild, WIFebruary 27, 2019
I worked over 30yrs. for Foremost Farms USA and have nothing but good things to say. Management was fair and listened to concerns both in and away from the workplace.

Pay is about the only good thing here.
Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Appleton, WIFebruary 17, 2019
Seen three plant managers come and go within the last two years, company focuses on quantity not safe quality food, old machines that break down daily, force people to cover a call in after a 12 hour shift and if you deny staying they claim a tardy, very weak union, Human Resources does not care about keeping loyal employees as well as no recognition, constant revolving door. Insurance is the only reason people stay more a less.
Pros
Health insurance
Cons
Corporate management is horrible, they preach safety but do not follow what the preach and blame any accidents on employees, terrible employee morale etc.

Fast paced, long hours. Nobody could tell me how long we were working. Not even allowed a bottle of water in plant. Never got a lunch break due to orientation.

Lack of direction from C-Level managment. Employees are poorly supported, high turnover rate
Sr. Director of Supply Chain (Former Employee) –  Baraboo, WIFebruary 6, 2019
The employees at Foremost are top notch. However the C-level managment team has had a lot of turn over and there is a general lake of direction from that level. They seem to be more interested in protecting themselves at the expense of their teams.
Pros
Great benifits, the employees are great to work with

Great place to work!
Senior Manager of Operations (Former Employee) –  Baraboo, WIJanuary 23, 2019
The people at Foremost Farms are great to work for and to work with. The farmers are the owners and it is so refreshing to work in a co-op, rather than a public held company.
Pros
Great people
Cons
Processes not standardized

All you have to do is show up to work!
Production associate (Current Employee) –  Richland Center, WIJanuary 19, 2019
Foremost farms is a great job if you have a brain and show up to work. No job is too difficult. If you catch on quickly and can learn multiple jobs and retain the knowledge and you come to work then your good. The only down fall is that they keep almost everyone regardless of how lazy they are or incompetent. Most of the employees are great to work with there are a few however that feel if they dont do the job somebody else will which makes more work for the next guy.
Pros
Great pay and healthcare
Cons
It is what you make it. Tbe only con is the After 8 hours its the next guys problem theory

Turn over rate is insane
Whey Operator (Current Employee) –  Appleton, WIJanuary 17, 2019
Management is very poor here. No one really cares. People come and go everyday making the turnover rate and hours worked unknown. Work/life balance is almost non existent here.

Bad place to work
Loading Dock Worker (Former Employee) –  Clayton, WIOctober 11, 2018
Worked at the Clayton plant for two years. I got 6 days of training as a cheese maker with no prior experience and got screamed at when things would go wrong. Worst management team I have ever seen. In the 2 years I was there I seen 6 to 8 supervisors come and go. Going to work every day was very stress full did not know if u were working 8 12 or 16 hrs everyday. Superintendent has no idea what is going on in the plant, play favorites. Supposedly a union shop but the union doesnt help you at all. Managment changes the union contract as they please. If you have children plan on not seeing them ever. You get one weekend off a month and they call you over and over trying to get you to come in on ur days off. Would never work for this company ever again in my life! Managment wont like you if u don't work 80 hrs a week
Pros
Free coffee
Cons
Managment team sucks, no training

Poor execution by top managment
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  WisconsinAugust 22, 2018
Poorly executed business operations. There was a lack of organization and systemic understanding in all levels of the organization. Proper training tools and a sound business structure are sorely needed. Employee's need to be valued and part of this equation.

Production Associate (Former Employee) –  Appleton, WIJuly 25, 2018
Very stressful environment, angry workers having to work 12-18 hrs per day & get only 1 day off per week. Employees didn't want to train newly hired. It's a revolving door.

Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Lancaster, WIJuly 3, 2018
I felt personally victimized, almost like their goal was to get you fired or to make you want to quit. Poor environment to work in. Job itself was okay.

Great place to work
Lab Technician II (Current Employee) –  Lancaster, WIApril 10, 2018
Great place to work.
You definitely work for the money but it's well worth it. Co-workers are easy to get along with for the most part.
Lancaster factory makes 640 lb. boxes of cheese. Don't expect not to work hard.
