First off, all of the 5 star ratings for this company don't even work IN Formativ Health IN Jacksonville, FL., so they are easily deceived.
In the beginning, they make is seem that they are a big happy family--sure. Management for sure is, but do they care about their employees? I'm afraid not. It's sad. This company has great potential, but the leadership does NOT know what they are doing. Changes are being made AROUND the clock, and they'll back that up during training saying "Changes are being made all the time, you guys..you have to expect it", which is totally understandable, but not to the extent when your employees are suffering.
You are essentially making appointments for the clients they have. Sending messages to doctors. Easy enough. But the metrics they set for the employees are ridiculous. They want the call to be 7 minutes or shorter, but impossible with all the criteria that needs to be filled out and said. Of course they don't know because the leadership that are making up the rules have not taken a call once.
If you're looking for a good culture job, this is not for you. If you're looking for a decent paying job and you don't care with the way you are treated, then go for it.
From the start they say they are a company that has a family atmosphere, and the only family atmosphere in this company is that almost everyone in upper management is either related by blood, marriage, or childhood friendships. Your schedule can change at the blink of an eye, you could have an 8-4 schedule and get switched to another team and told your new schedule is 10-6 starting the next day, no thought to any outside of work obligations (kids that have to be picked up by 6). They also pay you for lunch, that's just a nice way of saying don't make plans for lunch. You can come in with a lunch time of noon to 1 and by 9am it has changed to 1 to 1:30. So if you have an appointment during lunch and they change it, you either cancel the appointment or take the occurrence.
You are hired to set appointments for patients in doctor's offices primarily in New York. You are told to lie and pretend that you are in the office in NY. When patients call, upset and scared because their blood pressure or diabetes medication renewal wasn't calles in timely or the doctor never returned their call, you have to make up an excuse as to why this is going on. Management never backs you up, unless they are covering their own tail. Systems are constantly not working and promotions and off the phone assignments are given based on favoritism, not merit. Promises are made and when broken the excuse is always that you have to be prepared for change.
People are constantly quiting, some with no job to go to, because that place is so horrible. At a time where we were understaffed and taking on newmore... practices, a question was asked of the future hiring class we were told was coming, and instead of giving an actual answer, we were given the run around and told there were things we couldn't understand.less

Management, benefits, supervisors, no work/life balance

Formativ Health is an awesome place to work! Executive leadership actually listens to its employees and is quick to remove obstacles hindering success. The most enjoyable part of the job would be the collaborative efforts between all departments and commitment to serve all customers based on tailored needs.
Formativ Health has been such a blessing. The leadership really does care about their employees & their well-being. The staff is allowed to give their input, which in turn promotes change in the areas necessary. An absolute wonderful company to work for.
Family environment, work is simple & easy to learn
Their is a lot of favoritism played here. The Supervisor of the ortho team plays favorites and lets folks get away with be complacent. There are so many reasons that I cant say on here not to work. They say its awesome but its not. There are clicks based on several attributes.
Medical Billing Specialist (Current Employee) – Dedham, MA – May 15, 2018
Learned a lot in that place. Grew as a professional. Excellent management...very knowledge managers and staff. The fact that we usually work from home and now we can't kind made the staff a little stress out.
I am very excited about all of the opportunities this company has to offer. I feel like I am with family each day of work. I have had alot of previous experience in this field and this company by far has exceeded my expectations. The service I provided to patients and my peers really brings joy to my heart on a daily basis. I don't ever plan on leaving my family.
Terminated at time I was to be promoted! No recognition for year of service with company. Great company. Poor organization. Hiring too soon for positions. Here from New York, now in the second year. I was there from the start. Again, no recognition for service.
Manager (Current Employee) – Ohio – April 22, 2018
Company was sold in 2016 and has gone downhill ever since. Too many executives and not enough support staff. They outsource everything to India. New management is horrible. They got rid of their best people.
Patient Care Assistant (Former Employee) – Jacksonville, FL – November 21, 2017
Nice building, great co-workers, deceptive company (management, supervisors), great start off pay. Nasty, hateful New York patients and employees at the doctor office. Horrible way they treat employees! !
