Hours worked in a single day also includes at-home work (more than is counted into pay). It takes time putting together lesson plans, or coming up with interesting ways to embed the teaching methods for so many levels of learning inside the classroom. And, more of the time goes to failing students, as you need to constantly repeat, constantly remind, revise assignments to fit the levels at times. And, you will need to back yourself up with why you marked them as failing should this come up. Passing students are a charm, not a chore at all!
