Dont do it
Opetator lvl 3 (Current Employee) –  TxOctober 16, 2018
Picture this: you're hired in with a new company, they send you 9 hrs away (unpaid) to a man camp, cheap hotel, or a shared room with some of the laziest people you've ever encountered. The site your on goes down for 5 days due to frac breaking/dropping something down hole. you will not be paid for the days your down nor able to go home... this company is only worried about how much they can make and how little they can pay you. Do not come work for this company unless you really have no where else that will hire you, because those are going to be the people that you will be working with. TX management, coordinators and supervisors are the worst out of the company.

Cut throat environment, lack of management support or training, fast paced.
N/A (Former Employee) –  Denver, CO 80202August 27, 2018
It was an unpleasant experience to work under the manager and learn my position. Employees are hard working, and as usual fun to work with, but that is the only positive experience at Frac Shack.

Good job , long hours , long hitches , and far away .
Frac Operator (Current Employee) –  Watford City, NDApril 20, 2018
Honestly it’s a good job . For me it wasn’t worth being so far away from home . The places your stay and the food are never very good either . Being gone 20-30 days at a time in a hostile environment gets old quick . The money is great if you can put up with the rest !
Pros
Free food, place to stay .
Cons
Foods bad, the places you stay are very poor .

Pioneering a new market: Automated Fueling
Management (Current Employee) –  USAApril 18, 2018
I have worked a FSA for many years now and the challenges of a growing company are lost on newer employees. It is very exciting and gratifying to be a part of history. Automated refueling in the oilfield was pioneered by Frac Shack. The company is growing and as such so are the benefits and systems needed.

This is an extremely awesome opportunity to be part of a grassroots process on the move.
Pros
Great people
Cons
Long Hours, Away from home, Some down time

Easy going job
Lead Operator (Current Employee) –  Midland, TXJanuary 24, 2018
I've been working here for quite a while if you learn to do your job fast it will all be ok you get paid more than a regular 9 to 5 job and make a lot of money quick just do your job don't complain it's work that the problem we have now to many cry babies and not enough men.
The job is not hard i have moved up quick in this company if you dont take your opportunity to learn and sit on your phone all day don't blame your failures on other people ask questions and be productive good luck and hope to see you all working here
Cons
No drive time

Cheapest employer I ever worked for
Crew Lead (Current Employee) –  Midland, TXDecember 21, 2017
The company was pretty good when I started out but now that they're growing they've completely forgotten about their employees. No drive time, standby pay, no bonuses of any sort and now they want two workers per room at hotels. They're cheap and do a good job of talking the company up but then you find out the truth once you get hired. The upside is many of the company's we work with will offer you a job with much better pay, scheduling and benefits so it's a good way to get hired by other companies.

Great Company
Operator I (Current Employee) –  Midland, TXDecember 9, 2017
To much down time and needs to pay employees more. However it is a good job to get your foot in the oil field. It is a fairly new company so they still have a lot of growing to do.

Nothing is guaranteed.
CREW LEAD/LEVEL 3 OPERATOR (Current Employee) –  EverywhereNovember 19, 2017
Hard to maintain any balance. Always changing location and equipment. A lot of lackluster employees. No guaranteed hours. Wants more and more out of employees with no incentive for production.

Good Pay Lacks Organization
Operator (Current Employee) –  Midland, TXJune 20, 2017
Not a hard job but needs a better rotation. There has to be a better procedure when troubleshooting and setting up equipment. Company needs to switch to an automated approach when doing paperwork.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Organization short staffed
