Dysfunctional
Stocker (Current Employee) - La Mesa, CA - July 22, 2023
Turn over rate is very, very high. As a result your department will always be short handed. The list of daily tasks is usually too long to complete in the time you are scheduled. You will work hard and never be recognized for it. Also stingy with raises. The staff is cool though. If you’re young and don’t mind physical labor and have low expectations for pay then this place is for you. Too many issues with management here to ever feel comfortable.

Meh
Deli Clerk (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - February 6, 2023
It wasnt bad good place to work at, they know how to take care of employees, and the deli section is the pride of frazier farms. Produce too but Deli and kitchen were taking the heat.

Easy job, difficult management
Cashier (Current Employee) - Oceanside, CA - November 4, 2022
The job is easy but the management is difficult to work with. They will jump down your throat for not tucking in your shirt or having a name tag while letting people get away with taking extra long lunches and breaks.

Meh
Deli Clerk (Current Employee) - La Mesa, CA - October 4, 2022
When I first started here it was great. The job itself is very simple but management likes to focus on the wrong things. For example I've seen people come into work inebriated and nothing happens but if someone is standing still for more than two minuets, they're on them like white on rice. They also love to pass over people deserving of promotions despite people being fully capable. They also handled COVID very poorly and at on point about 1/3 of the staff was out sick
Pros
work is easy
Cons
management

Starts out easy then comes the BS
Deli Shift Leader (Current Employee) - La Mesa, CA - August 24, 2022
This is by far the easiest grocery job I've ever had but management needs to figure out how to get the right people to lead things. I have tons of experience but I constantly feel like I'm on the back burner
Pros
days go by fast
Cons
management

Negative work environment and even worse management
Grocery Associate (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - August 9, 2022
Do not work here unless you want to hate going to work every day. The environment is very negative and responsibilities are very unclear. There is no proper training, so expectations and duties vary based on which manager is on shift. Nearly every day coworkers and department managers would talk bad about higher up managers and other staff. There is no warnings or notice if management feels that an employee is doing a bad job, they either cut your hours drastically or simply do not put you on the schedule. If there is anything that you bring to managements attention, regarding pay, hours, etc., it is essentially a big game of telephone to relay your concerns from one manager to the next and no one ends up finding a solution in the end. It feels like you are back in high school with the amount gossip that people say behind your back (including management), which is why this is definitely not a good place to work at.

Jobs at Frazier Farms
1 star
Deli Clerk (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - July 4, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? The lower level coworkers What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Extremely busy customer wise, and constantly short staffed due to bad work environment What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful and upper management does not care about you What is a typical day like for you at the company? When I worked there, I didn’t know a single employee below store management who was happy with their job/compensation, and ESPECIALLY the treatment by upper management. People start working there and leave just as quickly. There is no training for departments, and the experienced employees get paid nothing extra to train people. They have no solid review policy, and they don’t even pretend to appreciate employees. The Frazier family who owns the company are all rude and disrespectful when they come in. Hard working employees would be preyed upon by management if they didn’t see eye to eye. Truly just a horrendous place

Interesting Work Environment
Clerk (Former Employee) - Oceanside, CA - April 3, 2022
While working at Frazier Farms I made friends I would have never made, which I am grateful for. All of my coworkers in my department and others were loving and fun, as well as the assistant store managers. My issues rooted in upper management. They are detached and cold to employees. Myself along with others, get scolded for being sick, needing time off, or having emergencies. They will passively cut hours if they are not getting what they want. They do not protect their employees. They send tiny sixteen year old girls, or young employees that are special needs out into the parking lot in the dark to get carts, with nobody else and no cameras around the outside of the store. The parking lot is always full of unpredictable and sometimes violent homeless people, and they don’t see an issue with this. Upper management and HR is very outdated and old-school. They lack respect and look down on employees no matter how loyal and hardworking an employee is. It really turned me off from the job. Also if you consider working here be prepared for some insane encounters with the homeless population, my encounters with them are beyond words.

Fun Place to Work
Multiple Positions (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - March 31, 2022
Great leadership. Really enjoyed working here. Management is supportive and understanding of your needs. Would recommend this as a great place for a young college student to work.

Great customers alot of really great co-workers definitely family environment between co-workers
Front End Supervisor. (Current Employee) - Oceanside, CA - September 16, 2021
Started out amazing. I worked my butt off proving my expierence and potential only to have it brushed under the rug. Management says 1 thing does another then acts ignorant as if the conversations never happed. You can't but someone who is capable of driving sales, improving morale and loyal in a box like a robot. The truth is I would have stayed forever til the day I was given a "direct order" to talk after I repeatedly said I didn't want to talk. After that incident I knew it was over things will never be the same
Pros
10% discount great co-workers
Cons
Poor leadership procrastination and alot of say one thing do another

Overall an okay job
Frazier farms was an okay place to work at. For being a health food store, they are pretty outdated in the way they don’t prioritize their employees and lack company culture. I feel the owners put too much care in ultimately making more money rather than becoming a better company. Fortunately, most of the employees and management were great people to work with.

Great customers and great coworkers mostly. Horrible management.
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - December 2, 2020
After working there for over 13 years as a loyal employee without a single write up or verbal warning, I was put on quarantine by my doctor who wrote HR a letter clearly stating that I was at high risk for Covid complications due to chronic asthma and history of pneumonia. After 8 cases and one employee death later, it was clear that the company was not concerned with any active measures to prevent the spread. They literally let a customer shop in the store with symptoms who refused to wear a mask, and fired my husband (also a 13+ year employee) for saying something. Soon after they deactivated my discount and without anyone contacting me, I emailed them to find out what had changed. They said that they decided to terminate me because essentially they didn’t want me to have my discount I’d earned while I had to quarantine. Raises were minimal, and upper management and HR were arrogant, reactionary, disloyal, and detached. The hardest thing was knowing what the company once was. Turns out the more you care and the more you make, the less job security you actually have. They are not concerned with cultivating an environment where hard work and loyalty are rewarded. If you want a job at minimum wage and you need a temporary place to work on your way to somewhere else, I guess this store would be an okay fit. This is not a job to plan your future with. At this point the values they project to customers are complete window dressing. Also if you are wondering there is no hazard pay during Covid.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
Wages, job security, management

Great co-workers, not so store managers. Good summer job
Grocery Clerk/Cashier (Former Employee) - Oceanside, CA - July 19, 2020
Pay is laughable. They will give you a raise right before minimum wage increases so they can match it. You'll be making as much as a new hire who scrubs the floors if you've been there for a year even. The assistant store managers for the most part are good, but the store directors are the worst. If you do become a manager, you'll be set up for failure unless you brown nose. Be prepared for empty promises and a schedule that comes out 2 days before the next week, so good luck at planning anything. 401k and health benefits are "there" but are probably the worst I've ever been offered at a job. The Frazier brothers are cool once you get to know them though.
Pros
Ways to advance in the company
Cons
No hierarchy, job titles don't mean much, pay is non competitive.

Amazing people to work with, management is terrible.
Courtesy Clerk (Former Employee) - Vista, CA - July 1, 2020
Frazier Farms always has great social energy, but the management is very cheap. Many people get their one dollar “raises” before minimum wage goes up. Their contracts are also very sketchy as some people weren’t even considered for a raise until almost 18 months. The management is very loose and it is very dependent on who is there for the day. Many unfair things can happen or put upon you, and if something like covid comes around there is zero compensation. Many people left Frazier because of lack of compensation for the obviously harder, strenuous work when compared to other jobs.
Pros
Fun people
Cons
Very cheap, you will never be compensated.

Friendly Coworkers
Company does not respect employees needs outside of work. Expect more than is possible from employees within their shift without allowing overtime and penalizing if you come short.
