Up until about 2 years ago I loved to goto work but after the management restructure things got very different. The atmosphere was oppressive and very hostile but for seven of my nine years things were extraordinary.

No suggestion. Generally, when a PI leaves (or dies) effort is made to find a new position for staff. In my case, there just wasn't another position open at the time I was laid off.
