Poor Management
Driver (Former Employee) –  Florence, KYAugust 21, 2019
This job has a very bad work/life balance. There are times where you are out on a route from 8am-11pm or sometimes even later depending on the time of year and how the router has you scheduled. Do not recommend working here as an hourly driver.

Horrible place to work
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Florence, KYJuly 11, 2019
They pay ok, but not great. You get no training, but the work isn't hard. All you do is unload incoming appliance trucks in the morning and load outgoing trucks in the afternoon with a hand truck/dolly. Management doesn't care for you at all. It's extremely hot and the days are very long. Expect to put in 10-14 hours a day. There are only 4-6 guys working in the warehouse on any give day, and they tend to disappear a lot when it's time to unload trucks, leaving you to do it yourself..

No room for advancing in this company
Former employee (Former Employee) –  Toledo, OHJune 5, 2019
There is no room for advancement. Also, the company is constantly making changes so there is no consistency and there is a lot of drama. Healthcare is super expensive and barely covers anything. I would definitely not consider Freight Rite for your life long career.
Pros
Co workers
Cons
Management, no consistency, drama, horrible healthcare.

Eye on your money
Driver/Laborer (Former Employee) –  New Orleans, LAMay 22, 2019
They like when you work hard but not when you making money they'll cut your route when they fill like you're making to much money. Sometimes they'll need you to do an extra route but when you do they start giving you days off so you wouldn't make to much but you worked extra hard to get shorted at the end of the week.

Employee (Current Employee) –  Toledo, OHMay 4, 2019
Employee..stressful job-overworked and underpaid for amount of work. Bad management that doesn't know the job. Expensive insurance you pay most of the cost for appointments. Company managers are fake dont really care about employees only the money. Contractors and employees wants and needs are overlooked. No advancement.

You can either work for the company or a contractor. Contractor pays more but no benefits. Company has benefits but low pay. No job security. You learn from the contractors how to install appliances. Management don't know how to do the job.Contractors haven't had a raise since the company started in Louisiana.

none
Cons
no raise, or job security.

Fun Place to Work...
Employee (Current Employee) –  OhioApril 6, 2018
Growing rapidly:

Great place to start your career or consider if possibly moving on. Hiring from within is important to the executive team. The owners are awesome and show empathy from the day you start.

The industry in general is very fast paced and yes there will be long days. All 3PL's are the same. So, don't be influenced by other postings. It is what it is in this industry but worth every moment invested.

The difference is that the company cares about each and every associate, ICC's, MC's and employees alike. Something to consider is that the company will not let an ICC or MC go without. If settlements are slow the company steps in and assists during those periods. Do not be fooled.

I would recommend Freight Rite Inc. and North-South Delivery to anyone considering them and to send in a resume for an employee or Independent Contractor possibility.
Pros
Owners and Executive Team
Cons
None as long as you understand the industry

Don't care how many hours you work or conditions snow rain earthquake exc. You get the point by far the worst job ever they suck so bad. I've never hated a place so much..

Laborer/Warehouse Helper (Former Employee) –  Port Allen, LAMarch 30, 2018
When working a Freight Rite it was face paced especially when 3 or more trucks were on the unloading dock. Getting the inventory off and the truck back on the road was a high importance. The only thing that it is a seasonal position.

Face Pace

Operations and Logistics Manager (Former Employee) –  Huber Heights, OHMarch 27, 2018
The company is growing too fast. Upper management is a joke after the two owners. The accounting department doesn't have a clue and who knows how many mistakes are made with people's pay.

Bonus program is a joke. You are responsible for the P & L but you never and I mean never receive a P & L statement. You have to remind upper management when your annual review is due and the date of the review is changed at will.

Promotion from within is a complete joke. People get promoted that don't have a clue as to how to do the job. Once promoted nobody knows about the promotion.

Communication from corporate is the worse in the world. There is no communication.

Upper management expects you to be available and dedicated to the company 24/7/365 for the low amount of pay.
Pros
Owners
Cons
Pay sucks, communication sucks, hours are long .

Sub Contractor/ Delivery Driver/ Installer/ Helper (Former Employee) –  Huber Heights, OHDecember 6, 2017
2 out 4 managers are useless, corporate cronies are absolutely ridiculous knitpickers over the dumbest things, and most employees might be felons. Sub-contractors are treated like trash by corporate, and hourly employees do not get any hours.
Pros
Working on a truck allows free time during day, physical exercise, tips
Cons
Customers. Stores you deliver for, management.
