The overall company
Worker (Current Employee) –  Wilson, NCOctober 14, 2018
The company care too much about the quantity and not the quality. Management push employees to rush out product even if the quality isn't up to standards.Management communication is terrible with the people on the floor. They don't take the time to fix the actual problem.
So therefore, the company will continue to have bad numbers.

Frustrating
Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist (Current Employee) –  Melrose Park, ILSeptember 30, 2018
Pros
-Plenty of chances to move up
-3 weeks vacation
-Really good healthcare

Cons
-Never paid to industry standards
-Constantly fighting fires
-Management do not show appreciation of work
-Always asked to do more than what you are hired for without any compensation.
-You perform the work of 2 people because turnover is very high but get in trouble when you can't get it done.
-Work life balance is bad.

It is not the worst company in the world. I have worked for worse. But it is very frustrating working here. If you work here, prepare for an "exist strategy" as soon as you get hired.

it's unorganized
Quality Assurance Specialist (Current Employee) –  Wilson, NCSeptember 22, 2018
A typical day at work is working on machines that take 3 to 4 hours to come up each day. Rushing to send product out regardless of quality. Management is not on one page and very hard to talk to.

Don't waste your time applying here
Quality Control Technician (Former Employee) –  Grand Island, NYAugust 29, 2018
If you are in the Chemistry field, don't even bother applying here. This is the bottom of the barrel. All of your assignments and the time spent doing them is accounted for and scrutinized by a computer software program. You are treated like a little kid, not an adult, with daily shift meetings where your supervisor asks you what you are working on. Goals are not realistic, laboratory safety is a joke, and the entire laboratory management staff is unfriendly and incompetent. There is a lot of turnover in the department attributed these reasons. They overwork you and don't give you any respect. You are just a number. Management is so arrogant, they don't even acknowledge you when you pass them in the halls. Terrible working environment. Nobody wants to help each other. Stay away from this department. Overall, the company as a whole is not much better. They don't value their employees. This is a generic pharmaceutical company so the bottom line is how many vials they get out the door. They don't care about quality.
Pros
I have nothing good to say about this company

Nepotism capital of the state
Aseptic Control Operator (Former Employee) –  Grand Island, NYAugust 28, 2018
Of all the places I've worked this is the first one I would've voted for a union if given the chance.
Lying supervisors that throw you under the bus.
There's a reason they have new employee orientations every week!
If you can tolerate the BS- and there's a lot of it- it's a good place to be.
Lots of overtime at a decent rate and excellent health insurance.
If you can keep your mouth shut while you watch relatives of supervisors being given promotions over more seasoned people you'll be fine.
Open your mouth and you'll be back here looking for another job!
Pros
Good pay excellent health insurance
Cons
Cut throat mad bus driving supervisors

Washing medicine vials. Learned the process that goes into cleaning different sizes of medicine vials and loading them into the sterilizer, and washing parts that allow the aseptic filling to use them and fill the vials with medicine. Good management. Quick pace and team work.
Pros
schedule
Cons
machine malfunction sometimes

Very Political
Project Management (Current Employee) –  IllinoisJuly 22, 2018
Middle management up to the very top are highly political. Misalignment of organizational objectives. Silo in each business unit and change management is not an easy task when goals, mission and vision are not cascaded down.

Cliques but a decent company.
Field Service Engineer (Former Employee) –  MidwestJuly 13, 2018
The service division within Fresenius Kabi is nothing but cliques, if you are in, you are set for life. At first I thought this company would allow freedom and a learning curve, but after being employed 3 years they found a way to nit pick anything and everything you did. I feel they have a great upper management that is willing to listen and treated everyone very well with yearly trips, the normal company car, etc. etc. People are going to make small mistakes and a company should be willing to work thru allowing someone to not be so perfect as long as they are willing to do what it takes to give 100%. Travel was at around 75% at the end of my tenure.
Pros
trips, car, health insurance is great!!
Cons
travel, cliques.

Upper management needs to be more organized
Scientist (Current Employee) –  Grand Island, NYJuly 10, 2018
Upper management needs to be more organized. They tends to rush a study only to repeat the same study later. Proper organization would from upper management would help solve issues in a timely manner.

It’s a great job to have, it’s a new learning experience. The only thing is they’re not reasonable with the employees when we complain about supervisors

Awesome
Machine Operator (Former Employee) –  Grand Island, NYJune 7, 2018
It's a stressful expected of the highest quality job. But it had to be, one slip up there could harm or even kill a human.
But the reward is a feeling of excellence. The entire management team are the best, they understand that life outside happens. They atcm with a new employee till confident that the nobs can be done by the SOPs offered.
I miss the job, the people and the state of New York
Highly recommend a place to work at on any skill level.

Decent place to work
QC Chemist II (Current Employee) –  Grand Island, NYMay 29, 2018
In my line of work I had a good supervisor and a task that was good for me. It is not very easy to get promotion as the company can be frugal with that, they also hire from outside instead of promotion which is an issue. Company morale is generally low among peers but benefits are nice.

Microbiology Quality Control Technician II (Former Employee) –  Wilson, NCMay 9, 2018
It's stressful working there - but at least it gave me the perspective to learn what I didn't want to do with my time. Only take this job if you have a lot of student loans to pay off.

Quality and regulatory focus needed
Quality (Former Employee) –  Wilson, NCMay 7, 2018
Quality and regulatory implementation delays. Meetings for months to discuss requirements that were implemented in pharma in 2002. Company growth focus instead of getting the existing products and systems correct.
Pros
Some good people wanting to do the right thing but blocked by management and red tape
Cons
Death by meetings. No work/ life balance. Incompetent management unwilling to listen to staff.
