Consultant (Current Employee) – Lake Zurich, IL – November 23, 2018
-The best part of working for this company is the exciting growth and the employee culture.
-Co. culture is friendly people willing to go out of their way if you have questions or to make you feel comfortable.
-Upper Managment overall, does a very good job communicating what is going on in the company through several all-employee meetings a year.
-HR does a good job of planning fun events throughout the year.
-Fiscally, healthy company, growing company is a stable work environment. Co. is consultant-heavy in their workforce and needs to invest in hiring more permanent FT employees and converting consultants to permanent positions.
-Rapid growth can result in employees in some segments are overworked before appropriate staffing is approved.
Dedicated, nice people who work here
Archaic Technology and Systems in certain areas, Salaries are lower than other Pharmaceutical Companies
Worker (Current Employee) – Wilson, NC – October 14, 2018
The company care too much about the quantity and not the quality. Management push employees to rush out product even if the quality isn't up to standards.Management communication is terrible with the people on the floor. They don't take the time to fix the actual problem. So therefore, the company will continue to have bad numbers.
Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist (Current Employee) – Melrose Park, IL – September 30, 2018
Pros -Plenty of chances to move up -3 weeks vacation -Really good healthcare
Cons -Never paid to industry standards -Constantly fighting fires -Management do not show appreciation of work -Always asked to do more than what you are hired for without any compensation. -You perform the work of 2 people because turnover is very high but get in trouble when you can't get it done. -Work life balance is bad.
It is not the worst company in the world. I have worked for worse. But it is very frustrating working here. If you work here, prepare for an "exist strategy" as soon as you get hired.
Quality Control Technician (Former Employee) – Grand Island, NY – August 29, 2018
If you are in the Chemistry field, don't even bother applying here. This is the bottom of the barrel. All of your assignments and the time spent doing them is accounted for and scrutinized by a computer software program. You are treated like a little kid, not an adult, with daily shift meetings where your supervisor asks you what you are working on. Goals are not realistic, laboratory safety is a joke, and the entire laboratory management staff is unfriendly and incompetent. There is a lot of turnover in the department attributed these reasons. They overwork you and don't give you any respect. You are just a number. Management is so arrogant, they don't even acknowledge you when you pass them in the halls. Terrible working environment. Nobody wants to help each other. Stay away from this department. Overall, the company as a whole is not much better. They don't value their employees. This is a generic pharmaceutical company so the bottom line is how many vials they get out the door. They don't care about quality.
Aseptic Control Operator (Former Employee) – Grand Island, NY – August 28, 2018
Of all the places I've worked this is the first one I would've voted for a union if given the chance. Lying supervisors that throw you under the bus. There's a reason they have new employee orientations every week! If you can tolerate the BS- and there's a lot of it- it's a good place to be. Lots of overtime at a decent rate and excellent health insurance. If you can keep your mouth shut while you watch relatives of supervisors being given promotions over more seasoned people you'll be fine. Open your mouth and you'll be back here looking for another job!
Associate Scientist Microbiology (Current Employee) – Grand Island, NY – August 7, 2018
Fresenius is a very fast paced work environment so it can get quite stressful keeping up. Requires you to often stay longer than your shift to finish up duties. The workers are very pleasant so that makes it easier to deal with.
Component Prep Operator (Current Employee) – Melrose Park, IL – August 1, 2018
Washing medicine vials. Learned the process that goes into cleaning different sizes of medicine vials and loading them into the sterilizer, and washing parts that allow the aseptic filling to use them and fill the vials with medicine. Good management. Quick pace and team work.
Project Management (Current Employee) – Illinois – July 22, 2018
Middle management up to the very top are highly political. Misalignment of organizational objectives. Silo in each business unit and change management is not an easy task when goals, mission and vision are not cascaded down.
Field Service Engineer (Former Employee) – Midwest – July 13, 2018
The service division within Fresenius Kabi is nothing but cliques, if you are in, you are set for life. At first I thought this company would allow freedom and a learning curve, but after being employed 3 years they found a way to nit pick anything and everything you did. I feel they have a great upper management that is willing to listen and treated everyone very well with yearly trips, the normal company car, etc. etc. People are going to make small mistakes and a company should be willing to work thru allowing someone to not be so perfect as long as they are willing to do what it takes to give 100%. Travel was at around 75% at the end of my tenure.
Machine Operator (Former Employee) – Grand Island, NY – June 7, 2018
It's a stressful expected of the highest quality job. But it had to be, one slip up there could harm or even kill a human. But the reward is a feeling of excellence. The entire management team are the best, they understand that life outside happens. They atcm with a new employee till confident that the nobs can be done by the SOPs offered. I miss the job, the people and the state of New York Highly recommend a place to work at on any skill level.
QC Chemist II (Current Employee) – Grand Island, NY – May 29, 2018
In my line of work I had a good supervisor and a task that was good for me. It is not very easy to get promotion as the company can be frugal with that, they also hire from outside instead of promotion which is an issue. Company morale is generally low among peers but benefits are nice.
