Technician (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INJune 2, 2019
Ruins families. No work life balance. The point system for part timers when I was there wasn't the best. My child was in the hospital and they did not care.

Unprofessional strained place to work
Maintenance Mechanic (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INMay 12, 2019
Corporation gives each facility a reduced budget year to year which is always less than previous year. Management team strives to meet that new annual budget. In essence management is "flying the budget" instead of "flying the business", and it shows. The budget is only one sliver of the aggregate business process. Production machine operators are strained by forced overtime, lack of parts for maintenance to apply toward production machinery, unprofessional images of the production lines, system control panels, lack of labeling of operational system control switches, lack of electrical and junction boxes and might as well be hand crayoned circuit breaker panels. Contractors that come into the facility must be lowest bidders, "flying the budget", because the poor quality work performed reflects that. Company continues to grow in revenue and facility expansion and at the same time reduces benefits to employees. Lack of pride of what products are made. "We just make chips". It use to be "There is a smile behind every bag", well not at this facility that makes them. Training is not extensive. "We are not a training facility". Very unprofessional qualifications and review system. I wish major improvements to frito-lay so that maybe it will become a better place to work for my former co-wrorkers, but its going to need "major" improvements. Couple suggestions to frito-lay, corporate leaders need to come down off their high horses and meet all the workers that get the job done, adopt training and qualifications processes like United Air Lines and United States Air Force,  more... pay attention to "human factors" and start sharing the wealth of frito-lay wuth its hourly employees.  less
Pros
able to take scrap parts home
Cons
medical benefits, lack of training, poor qualification system, disregard of human factors.

Its a repetitive job most of the day. Since the company has put in machines to pack most of the lines now we as packers do the same type of line all day long everyday.

Material Handler/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INApril 16, 2019
Never anything to do but drive forklift although the pay is good. Short breaks are also a con, also management could use a little improvement as they don’t really communicate with you.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Short breaks, boring

Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INMarch 18, 2019
Frito-Lay is a great company to work for and provides long-term development and employment as with any other job you have to want it and it will be yours the only hard part about it was they have a no-fault policy when it comes to being late or missing days if you're a minute late you get a point if you don't come to work you get a point and there is no in between
Pros
Discount on chips
Cons
No-fault policy if you're a minute late it's a point

Processing Operator Technician (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INJanuary 14, 2019
If you have a family you better get use to not seeing them! Management can tell you when you are clocking out that they need you to stay 4 more hours! There is no balance between work life and home life. They treat you like a number. They know they can replace you in a heartbeat so they don't care about you period. They only give raises once a year and that's only if they make a profit! Don't work here unless you have no life because this place will be your life! Run!

during my time working there it was well known that their concern for the employees health and safety was very poor. Their cleanliness for a factory that produces and packages food were very disgusting.

Utility Tech (Former Employee) –  Frankfort, INAugust 20, 2018
Makes there employees work to much overtime and don't take care of there employees well. I would not recommend this job to anyone. The only thing they have that is good is the pay and insurance.
