Decent pay if you don't have a life
Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLMay 26, 2019
When I was employed there, at first things were good you worked hard but were compensated fairly. They changed the pay scale , set ridiculously high plans you could barely ever reach, DSL's were never concerned about your health or well being, just how much you could add to their pockets by driving unnecessary sales. And if you have kids forget about it, don't try and take care of them if they are sick while ou are there, in the end they will try to make you choose between your kids and your job. My kids were and always will be more important. Horrible overall experience working there. Please save yourself and dodge this one if you can.
Pros
Paid vacation
Cons
If you use sick days, you get in trouble, if you ask for help you get in trouble

Routes sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLApril 10, 2019
They basically don’t promote drivers to management positions anymore, they go and hire cheap college students and brain wash them. They don’t value the routes sales rep. Management in Orlando is terrible and unprofessional. Our ZBM is unprofessional and talks to you anyway he wants.!

There are roles that can maximize strengths in a variety of ways. Frito Lay strives for a culture of inclusion and has a strong focus on safety. There are different shifts depending on role and business needs. I made many good friends during my time with the company and still stay in touch with them.

Packer (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FlJanuary 3, 2019
Got a email on 12/11 to do a automated interview. On 12/13 got another email to do a face to face interview. Had a interview with manager and a supervisor at the same time on 12/18. It went well and was told if I was selected I'll hear something within 2 weeks. Went home and got a call within 3 hours saying I had been selected and was offered the position. Did my drug test (urine) and background check on 12/22 and I start Jan.8th for training. The entire process took about a week and a half. Hopefully i have a great experience working here. I'm so ready to start!😊

Good Pay/ Lack of Advancement
Sanitor (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLNovember 9, 2018
The pay is good and the work/life balance is good as a partimer but that's it. The turnover rate in the sanitation department is extremely high. Working conditions are like what I imagine working on a plantation would be like(extremely hot and uncomfortable). It's hard to get full time but at the same time, why would you want full time at a place such as that? They don't care about their employees and one of the Leads is a bully and likes to pick at certain employees. The manager is also very nonchalant about everything.
Pros
Pay, flexibility
Cons
Barely advancement opportunities, no benefits, unprofessional leads, uncomfortable working conditions

Great Learning Experience, Intense Culture
Plant Director (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLOctober 31, 2018
Frito-Lay is a well run machine and a fantastic place to develop critical operational skills. There are many opportunities for promotion for talented individuals who are willing to move.
Frito-Lay is also a very intense environment. It is extremely numbers driven in both a good way and bad way. In a good way, it drives a lean operational machine. In a bad way, it leads to poor long term decisions for short term gains. It leads to somewhat of a cut-throat culture where individuals are willing to step on others if it leads to a good end of year review.

Start early, good co-workers. The hardest part of the job is the time that you don't see your family. 10 to 14 hours a day. You learn to be at time and be organized.

A place to work
Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLAugust 3, 2018
A typical day will include numerous emergency repair calls or work orders and the input of your daily activities into the maintenance database. Like most places there are those who will do the minimum necessary to keep there job and those who are good at the job and have to take up the slack. Management is decent but are generally so new that they don't really know how to handle people or don't have the knowledge to know who is telling a tale. The hardest part of the job is going to be the heat and physical constraints. It's a manufacturing plant with ovens. It's hot and in certain places can get tight. Some of the more enjoyable times is when the hard work pays off and everything runs the way it's supposed to. The site does celebrate their "wins" with cook outs and other events. Overall, it is a good place to work.

Merchandiser (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLJuly 26, 2018
I worked for several years, good pay, but no balance in life. Heavy work. You get home very tired. No opportunity to grow since they prefer people from outside.
