CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) - Longview, WA - May 3, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedBenefits aren't great. Understaffed most of the time. But, there's a few really good CNAs and nurses that can really make working here tolerable and almost fun.

Management only cares about profit
Registered Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Longview, WA - September 22, 2021
I loved my residents, they and my coworkers were the biggest highlight in my year at the Frontier. And I loved my job. Being in healthcare is my calling. With that said, the management, specifically the administration and the HR/Payroll ladies were extremely condescending and rude 90% of the time. They answered your questions like you were stupid. There was A LOT of favoritism from the administration to the employees. If they didn't like you, they made sure you knew it by either hovering over you or acting superior to you in a superficial way. The management was hypocritical - We were told absolutely no eating in the nurses' stations, yet we'd see management eating full meals in their offices. The rules don't apply to them apparently. They also don't help if we were understaffed. We would be horribly understaffed and not only do they just ask you to work extra instead, but they'd rather party and enjoy their loves while we're spending all of ours at work. They'd only help if state was either called or coming for their survey. It was unfair to both us and the residents to leave us so understaffed that it made it unsafe and unattainable to provide the care we needed to. I would not recommend working here.
Pros
Wonderful residents, great coworkers and nurses, rewarding job experience
Cons
Bad management, favoritism, unhelpful administration

I appreciate my job and I like my fellow employees
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) - Frontier Rehabilitation - October 4, 2019
This can be a great opportunity for new CNAs and nurses. I feel it has need for growth and I believe it will improve over time. We have amazing people in management now and lots of new faces on our team. I'm excited to how the next few years at this facility unfold :)

Productive and a good place to work as a CNA
Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) - Longview, WA - July 24, 2014
The Frontier is a good place to work., The CNAs all work together as a team which is very important in patient care. I learned many new skills working as a CNA such as working collaboratively with all health team members and communication skills. The hardest thing about my job is the emotional part of it such as getting close to your patients and then losing them. The best part of the job is helping patients get better so they could go home.
Pros
Good benefits such as vacation days, good people to work with, working with residents of the health care facility
Cons
Health insurance is expensive
