Volunteer Worker (Former Employee) – Johnstown, NY – November 10, 2018
I had a really nice boss who was super relaxed and showed me the ropes. I learned a lot about building computer labs in an academic setting. My typical routine was to meet with my superior, and assist in setting up some sort of lab for college student use. This was when I was still in high school. I replaced hard drives in an entire lab of approximately 30 computers with solid state drives. And learned to link up each computer to a single one for teacher use, and mass installed all the required software. Teacher remains access to remote control every computer in the lab from their one. Computer work like this in general is easy as breathing, the most difficult part, can also be the most fun. And that is the waiting for installations and load times. I have also replaced a lot of tech there and rewired entire rooms. And I got to mess around with the server data management, that was incredibly fun.
Athletics events assistant (Former Employee) – Johnstown, NY – October 12, 2015
A typical day at work had me feeling like there was always something to do. Events were the most enjoyable part of the day because I was able to utilize my photography skills and work with the athletes.
