At the mock lesson, be ready for a defiant student. Don’t try to teach the lesson until the student puts his or her cell phone in a pocket and keeps it there. Calmly ask that they not look at their phone during the session. Let him or her fiddle with pencils and rulers. ADHD kids benefit from that.
The job pays by the hour, pay scale seems to range from mid 20.00 to mid 30.00 per hour. Pay is set up to benefit the company. The one thing that is bad about Fusion is that it is often more corporation then school and this does not always have a positive affect.
Fake, many lies, they care more about the students than their teachers/mentors. Little room for personal growth, your opinions don’t matter as long as they are receiving many $$$ from kids’ parents to buy their silence.
Health benefits are available if I choose to work full time or my campus needs me 30 hours or more. I also get holiday pay.
What is Fusion Academy sick leave policy? How many sick days do you get per year?
It depends on the state. It varies from 3 to 6 days of sick time, usable when one wants.

$21-$25 in Dallas. Paid planning time is only 5 minutes for each 50 minute class. For example, you would get 20 minutes to plan for 4 50 minute classes.
Hire educators. Actually learn about education and stop following a corporate manual. Hire quality staff and pay them well.
The politics, administrative incompetence, and being expected to teach courses that aren't within one's expertise. Fusion only cares about taking money from wealthy school districts via school vouchers; admin only pays teachers for FIVE minutes of planning time per class per week and thinks nothing of giving teachers EIGHT back-to-back classes. Administrators actively target anyone (teachers, staff, even students) who don't fit their model, who are not WASP males, or who are professional teachers. The latter might seem counterintuitive, but they avoid hiring professional teachers because they'll be more likely to object to some of the more questionable practices, e.g., encouraging students to prolong graduation to keep paying tuition, pressuring teachers to give As to students who do no work, and targeting other teachers for termination if they become unacceptably popular.
Amazing. There are so many passionate people that not only care about the student's lives and changing their trajectory, but as an employee I have a chance to build great relationships with students and families. To top it off, I have the chance to work with people that care about me personally. You hear a lot about authenticity at Fusion and that is rare air. Fusion knows it isn't perfect, and they know I'm not perfect. I appreciate the changes being made this year with the Teacher experience, compensation opportunities, and planning time doubling!
