Surgical Scheduler (Current Employee) – Forsyth, IL – September 13, 2018
8 hour days, some travel, scheduling surgical patients. Nice environment with personal office. I learned a lot concerning insurance and prior authorizations. Helping to make eye surgeries easier for patients, including setting up PreOp appointments and Cardiac clearances. Working with (7) surgeons was enjoyable with something new everyday.
Lead Clinical Research Coordinator (Current Employee) – Bloomington, IL – July 31, 2018
They have provided me with great opportunities and flexibility. I have been given a fabulous opportunity to get research off of the ground and have been allowed the flexibility to do this as I see fit. I have not had a negative experience here at Gaileys.
Ophthalmic Assistant (Current Employee) – Bloomington, IL – December 30, 2017
Gailey Eye Clinic is a great place to work! You get to work with many types of patients on a daily basis with the main focus being customer service (which isn’t always a top priority in some health care professions). The OA role offers one-on-one contact with patients to help get them ready for the doctor. Additionally, Gailey’s other main focus is their staff, with exceptional benefits, helpful/caring management and great doctors. It’s a great place to work and grow!
Great insurance/401K, Customer Service Focused, Caring Management
Staff Member (Former Employee) – Galesburg, IL – September 12, 2017
The actual job itself is decent. Patients are probably the best part of the work. Patients can see how poorly things are run. Employee complaints are heard but ignored, which makes for an extremely stressful environment. Management won't listen to suggestions about how things could be run in a better and more efficient manner. Clinic Coordinator's hands are tied, so they listen and pass complaints along, but nothing is done. Decline in business should be the eye opening factor, but again, it's the company's way or no way.
