I was hired as an assistant manager. My training went like this:

I was asked if I knew how to close the security gate and if I've ever closed a store before. I said I have. My manager then handed me the keys and went home. Any questions I ever had were ignored. Complained to both him and his boss about the blatant refusal to provide training so I could actually operate the store. The District Manager they fired me for "not learning fast enough" even though they refused to take more than five minutes to train me. This is the environment and culture.
